hey ladies/gents:

i was just sitting here and thinking about committed relationships. so when you start dating someone or seeing someone casually you see that person about 3 times a week. well what if you're in a committed relationship? do you increase the amount of time spent? i was just wondering how everyone felt about that.

I wonder the same thing about other couples!

When my boyfriend and I started seeing each other we were inseperable for nearly a month. Now we live together and it seems that we barely spend time together even though we are under the same roof. What's "normal"? I mean obviously I understand that you can't give all your time and attention- all the time.

me and my boyfriend started dating in highschool (we were 17) and we seen each other pretty much every single day. where now 19 turning 20 in less than a month and since we started college(he started right after highschool and i took a year off) once he was in second year and i was just starting my first year it was hard to spend time together cause of homework and heavy course load. but now that it summer vacation we try to see each other a lot more but we both have jobs and a social life. we also dont live together or work same shifts(he works days and i work nights)so that makes it hard too.

i think "normal" is different with everybody. a lot depends on if u live together, what type of shifts u work, age, and what you do with your free time(if you have any) etc.

oh oh i love these kind of questions .. ok mmm .. 1st u can say that i am in a committed relationship so i will answer what i understand so i see my lover maybe more than 3 times a week but there are some weeks that i don't see him on it .. but i kind of like not to see him that much cos i just love when i see him after a long time there will be lots of kissing ... i mean a lot of kissing lol

yeah. i see what you guys are saying. my boyfriend and i work at the same place however our shifts are different. and we work in different departments. we come together for lunch; and when we do have lunch most of the time people are sitting there talking to us. or one of his collegues will talk to him about work. its just that i spend a lot of time with him now. and have been for the past year. i mean it will change i guess; since im going back to school.

not really complaining. all im saying its nice to have some time for yourself. but once you get into a routine its kinda hard to break that. everything is good in moderation.

i mean you said it yourself fatin that you like not seeing your bf once in awhile because you miss him and you get that i can't take my hands off of you thing. i guess i can take more of an effort to start spending time for me. idk. maybe im just over-reacting to this.

awwwh no sweeti ur not but let me tell u this .. my x i used to see him EVERY single day at college after college and at night .. i mean i really got bored and i belived that i need some time for myself and some me time as well you know go to the hair dresser and stuff like that but .. now with my new loving boyfriend we spend time yet we have our own time and even when we see each other alot we kind of make it as friends hang out so we don't get bored .. so i guess u can try somthing like that you know cos i see that you don't perfer your hanging out with him yet you don't want to change your routine so try to make it SOMETIMES not everytime as friends hang out kind .. trust me u will love it and u will have fun and in the same time you wont get bored .. hope i helped

yeah, i see what your saying. well we just kinda hang out and watch movies; play video games and go to the beach. and i'm not getting bored at all. im wondering if he's getting bored with me. ya know? i know big insecurity problem. im currently seeing someone right now, to work on that. thanks for the comments. its really starting to open my eyes that i do need time for myself. and i can't be around him 24/7.
