OK so I know the OP prob wont see this but I wanted to add... I also do not think you are a bad person. In my opinion you have made bad choices. You are the only one who can change things but you have to choose to want more, to decide you are worth more than leftovers. You have had a rough time of it... many have and get past it. It is a CHOICE. Please make the right one for you and everyone involved.

I wasn't going to post because this situation hits too close to home for me. I found out my husband was having an emotional affair with another younger woman (not much younger). It last about 2 months and I found out before anything happened because I don't know if I could forgive him if he actually had sex with someone else. It is still painful to me to even type. For my situation this woman paid my husband some attention and gave him compliments and stoked his ego. Yeah, what man doesn't like all that. Anyhoo it devastated me because in my mind we had a great marriage yeah we have gotten complacent with each other but our sex life was still great, we still talked maybe not as much as we had before. But we both work long hours and we have kids and just life sometimes gets in the way. I blamed both my husband and this other woman for what they both did because it takes two. I even called her and asked her nicely to leave my husband alone. She didn't heed my warning so then I got very ugly and left her an awful voicemail then she threatened to press charges on me. I told her to go ahead I didn't care I was fighting for my marriage that she why trying to destroy. My husband finally came to his senses and realized that it was just LUST pure and simple and he begged for my forgiveness and said something like that would never happen again. It was tough and touch and go there for awhile but we worked through it.

Personally I do not understand why anyone would ever want to be second best to someone. I want to be #1 The Queen per say (in my house I am) and I will never ever take a backseat to anyone other than my children. No matter what kind of feelings for this man you think you have you need to END it for your own self worth. Also think about his children, my older children knew they heard us argue and saw me crying even when I tried to hide it and it devastated them. It also hurt their relationship with their Dad and it has taken time for them to repair that. It isn't worth destroying so many lives. If it is meant to be then it will be but after HE leaves his wife and gets a divorce which could be very messy. I know that for me if my husband would have left me for that woman it would have been a very messy divorce and she would have been dragged into.

Marriage has type of big curves. My advice is here a partner should help to get back emotional feelings be patient special if the partner really beg for forgiveness like in your case. A man sometimes feels he wants to be attractive to a women !!!! , but does not mean love ,which what i believe in your husband's case.

Begging your forgiveness means the love for you also means you got an understanding and loving husband. usually form my experience such incident will make the husband (in your case) never think of other women only you and will give the love strong push to a lasting for ever love.

We both, wife and husband, go through such issues and the role is to help each other to retain marriage , love back.

my philosophy always when it comes to wife and husband relation, is "each one must invest in the other one". I mean that in your case, there is the best investment opportunity is to forgive your husband. Belive me he will very appricate it for you and will realy and deeply love you for ever.

When ever you think it is over this time and is the END, Belive me, things will always be solved and will be in the past.
