It doesn't sound like his girlfriend has done anything wrong. I know I'd be hurting for sure if I was in her position, and I would hate to be involved in making someone feel that way.

So he's a BIG JERK.
The thing is, though...that these women are accepting it. So does that make them twits?Comment

DEFINE; Twit: A reproach, gibe or taunt; A foolish or annoying person.
Not annoying... but perhaps foolish? If both women are aware of the situation with this guy, neither are happy/content, he's happy as a clam, and they continue to stay involved with him out of the glimmer of a hope that he will leave the other girl or the other girl will leave him.. then yes. Foolish.
I really, really wish the best for both you and your guy friend's girlfriend, emily100! But unfortunately, the best will not happen to you until you make the decision to leave this guy and find someone who will fulfill your needs.Comment

I agree with KMonte. Both women are foolish enough to allow this to happen for long. I am wondering how much self - respect they have. I guess I should not judge, but I cannot hide how much the situation bothers me.
I was into almost similar situation but it was a more committed one - common law wife vs. other woman, where I was the "other" woman - that I was NOT aware of. But the very instant that I realized I was being toyed and lied upon, I RETURNED him to his rightful owner - hahaha...I don't want to share. I deserve the best.Comment

Over and Out!
The whole thing has accumlated in a big mess for all 3 of us. I have decided that the pain is too great for me and the deeper I got involved the worse the situation looked and felt. I decided to walk once and for all. I've tried several times but this time it was clear there was nothing he could say or do to stop me. So, here I am out of it all just for the past 4 hours still feeling numb but knowing I did the right thing for myself and all concerned.

First off, I think you need to stay away from both the girl and the boy. You say that you ended it, but how long can you REALLY stay away. Just ask yourself that question. And there's a REASON why they are called EX'SComment

Walking away is the best thing and in time you will see that feel so much better about it all.The whole thing has accumlated in a big mess for all 3 of us. I am happy for you, em! You may not feel it now, but once the initial shock is gone you will feel such a relief. You are no longer involved in a dramatic love triangly, and are now free to explore relationships with unattached men who will be in a better position to give you their undivided attention! Congratulations, you've made a huge (and very difficult) step in the right direction!Comment

relief! thank you one and all
Being on the outside now for only 19 hours I already feel sooo much better than I did yesterday at this time! It ended on a not so pleasant note but maybe that's a good thing because it leaves me not liking him very much anymore and more angry than hurt.
His gf called me this morning to apoligize for calling me up and calling me some pretty awful names out of her anger. The whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth which is a good thing because it pretty much guarentees I will stay away from him forever.
Meanwhile, I really appreciate the amount of response I got here and that people cared enough to express their honest opinions which helped support me in my decision to walk away. whew!!!Comment

Emily,
What you have to realise, is that he has had a taste. You walked and he spoke badly to you, what a JERK huh... Now, you will see in the next 12 months, this girl coming to you crying, as she finds out he's been cheating on her with someone else.
You have your pride and dignity, unfortunately, now she is the lost soul, in hope that he will now be hers.
Think yourself lucky madam.
