Always stand "tall" next to you man with the knowledge that he's yours, and any woman will see that and know she's got no show

If she was interested, she'd still be badgering him... She talked too much, and he cut that down and she backed off... She knows her place

    Know yours sweet.

It's funny because I knew all that, but at the same time never considered it. I always thought how great it was that there was a point that it died down for a while. I guess I have all these little insecurities that flare up every now and then. I'm starting to think it's because I've never lived with a guy (who was a boyfriend) before, I've never been in anything that serious... and you know how when that happens, sometimes it freaks people out that they'll have to wake up with the same person every day, never be with anyone else, etc?

I'm not saying that's the case for either of us, at all. I guess I keep thinking that if another girl shows attention that it will cause that way of thinking. But I know that I have more faith in him than that and I should show it.

It's amazing what just a few words will do. Thanks CW

Updating. I'm dealing with a little confusion here.

A friend of mine has parents who live in the town where the store is that this chick works at. She texted me the other day, saying she saw my boyfriend there this past Friday, which was his day off. Fortunately she said it didn't look shady but she didn't say hi to him or anything because she's only met him a couple of times.

I didn't want to come right out and say anything, but it came up and I asked little questions trying to get him to say he stopped there. He didn't. He said it's a 40 minute drive and there are closer pet stores than that. It wasn't a fight, but he's straight up lying to me right now. Everyone's saying it sounds like a plutonic thing but he's not telling me because he wants to avoid ****ing me off, but a lie is a lie.

Not really sure what to do now. I feel like if I keep bringing it up it's going to cause a problem. He knows she upsets me but went there anyway...without telling me.

Ok Glitz I haven't read through this entire post but I'm guessing I should from the sound of your first post and then this one i'm going to say you might have to dig deep on this one and TRUST your dude! He obviously wants a position within this career so maybe he is trying to learn all he can learn and or get in good with management, it doesn't have to be about her. Just because she works there doesn't mean its always about her. Now if it was her day off and his day off and he went up there and she was there then I would say throw a brick at the chick...lol TOTALLY just saying that..not something I would actually do (lmbo) Any who instead of gripping about it, which will drive a wedge between you and your dude I would offer alternatives. For instance find out if any vet's or nearby shelters have volunteer postions open. These are always a good way to get your foot in the door. He can spend his off time there instead Tell him that this way he will get real training that can be implemented in the career of his choice. By the way shelters ALWAYS have volunteer positions open. Or if you have a Six Flags near you they always are hiring especially around this time for the upcoming season which is also a good way to gain experience. The more experience he has the better chance he has of landing whatever position he wants. Be more proactive instead of reactive

I know, it just strikes me in all the wrong ways. He already has a new job that he's been training in for 2 weeks so I'm figuring it's not about that now. But that's just me. Believe me, I don't normally let something like this drive me this crazy, but everything in me is screaming that it's shady. Not necessarily him. I truly believe that it was plutonic on his end and he probably just didn't tell me to avoid ****ing me off. I know he needs to learn these things, but I don't know. It sounds stupid, but I don't think he should have gone at all while knowing how much it bugs me. But I'm not the type to tell people what to do, so I try my hardest not to bring it up. I know how bad it makes me look but just knowing she exists is killing my brain right now.

Have faith. Positive thinking, positive attitude attract positive outcome.

              Take care, hun.

you are giving her WAY to much power over your emotions. He is home with you, sleeps with you, kisses you, hugs you, probably writes songs about you, sings to you, rubs your feet etc. Even if she did want him its on a wish and a dream. I read you said you don't want to meet her...I would! I would smile, and be as happy as a bee in honey.

I would do that as well. Remember: know your "enemy", and better yet, befriend them (like aikido - use your opponent's strength against them, to your advantage).

Haha... you guys are great I know I'm being totally silly, and I have NO idea why it bothers me the way it does.

Even in past situations like this, I always told myself exactly what Ahryin said about him being with me and all that, and I would feel better. I think it's because this guy ISN'T a waste of life so I have an even bigger fear of losing him.

And Cat, I keep thinking that more and more. The whole kill 'em with kindness thing. You're both right that I should meet her, I just don't want to go out of my way, haha.

Again, I'm aware how insane it makes me come off, and I'm not normally like this, I can assure you. I know you guys here will always be straight with me, so when it bothers me I come straight here. It keeps me from biting someone else's head off.
