    Now he texted me.
He said sorry you are so upset about things. I didn't want this to happen, sorry.
Notice he doesn't say I'M sorry. As if he still doesn't want to take any blame.
That was 2 hrs ago and I didn't answer him.

Best thing you could do is just quit responding. He is immature and manipulative. You don't need this in your life. Go get that book and start reading.

Well that's a backhanded apology if I ever heard one...

He didn't say what he was sorry for or mention any efforts to make amends or change behavior. To me, without saying what you're sorry for, and say what is going to change, the apology means very little.

Kudos to you for not responding to that poor excuse for an apology. Its weakness doesn't warrant a response from you.

          Oh lordy...

I know that some people have problems in the way in which they express but he's kind of very "me, me,me".

Your talking cooking, cleaning and he's talking sex I reckon but to also in the middle of making love tell you " I'll do it my way", is pride, he doesn't sound like he has a whole lot of confidence, but also quite controlling as well, and as for the beer, well, it's eating at him that he has to buy you a drink all the time, why? Sure, you go dutch to keep things nuetral but seriously, if he's even thinking about the drinks he has bought you and is upset over that, that's sad... My ex was like that, still like that

As for the comment? Yep, sounds like he's saying he's sorry that you are taking things the way you are, sorry that your thinking is that way, not sorry that he caused it.

Sorry mdraven, I am sorry, that he is the sort of person that doesn't fit your mould, you have class and respect and love and he's missed the boat

            ONE,
            TWO,
            THREE....

            All together now

            TELL HIM GOODBYE!

And don't worry if the door spanks him on the way out.

Then go buy yourself some flowers, some good chocolates and curl up with a good book.

Yeah , work has been slow for him and I didn't mind buying him a beer it was just the way he worded it to me that made me feel insulted.

I enede up responding to his text. He said he misses me so much. I told him we needed to have a serious talk and he need to listen to what I'm saying and that things need to change. I went to visit him and we talked for two hours. He said he understood what he has been doing was wrong and he didn't want to do those things to me anymore. He said he appreciates all I do for him but sometimes needs to do things on his own. It seems as though I got through. I know one thing I'm not going to see him everyday. I'm going to take it slow and tread lightly. I'm going to go do my own thing and go out with my friends too. Maybe he with think twice now before treating my like dog . Believe it or not he said I was the prettiest girl he's ever been with and also the nicest. I know what his ex's all look like and they are not that great. I've known my bf for 17 years so I know the people he's been with and how he was treated. Most of them cheated on him and his father was physically abusive and I think his mom has mental issues also. So I'm giving him the benifit of the doubt and trying to have faith that maybe he will think before he says mean things. I told him he was being verbally abusive when he did that and he said he was sorry and that he knew I didn't deserve it.

I can't wait for my book to come in the mail. It looks very interesting.
I'm going to buy a new camera today and start focusing( no pun intended, lol) on my photography again.

I need to get back to ME and being with him everysingle day and all day and night, sleeping over too much is somehow making me feel like I don't know myself anymore, if that makes any sence. And in not knowing myself I feel weak. I don't want to feel weak I want to feel independant and happy.

I can even see the difference in my most recent photos of myself. I look tired bloated and worn out. My sister is always telling me that I dress like a streetwalker and look like I need a makeover because I still look like I'm dressing like the 80's. She also tells me I should cut my hair short and a lot of other things I should do with my life. This started to happen after my mom died. But she is also taking away my idedntity.
                  I'm going to reclaim ME.

                    Well, let's hope.

Personally, I think you're right to step back a little.

Where I'm hesitant is whether or not all the things he said were just saying the right thing to make you feel better or if there was a sincerity to it.

Hi mdraven - btw does that have anything to do with the baltimore ravens...lol
First and foremost I think your a making a good decision. Let me caution you, make sure his actions speak louder than his words, people like your friend rarely if ever change. Its just a matter of time, it could be 2 weeks or 2 months. They can only contain themselves and the anger built up inside them for so long and then they explode again. I think once you are removed from the situation you will see how much less stress you will have in your life and how less you become dependent on them for your emotional happiness. Just my 2cents. I know from experience
