Mutual interests in outside activities can help by extending sharing and fun.

Compromise mutually agreed upon and mutually respected, is a key element of trust.

There is no intimacy without touching, and the way each person needs to be touched is different. It must be learned by the other.

When you stop learning you die, even if you continue living. No one can love the dead.

        I agree with that.
If you're not happy with yourself then no one can make you happy enough to pursue a happy and successful life or relationship.

If you're off on the inside you send out vibrations that are not clear and true, therefore attracting the unsuitable mate.

Don't try to change someone to make them what you want. Either you want them the way they are or you don't.

Sex is important. Your needs/desires/wants should match without a lot of effort on either side. Chemistry. If it's not good now, it'll only get worse and one of you will end up miserable or cheating or both.

Don't depend on him/her to make you happy, and don't let him/her depend on you to make them happy. That's internal and only you are responsible for that.

Don't lie and don't settle for a liar.

            - Do not become dependable, share your life with him but don't let him be the centre of your world.

            - If he hits you once, he will hit you again.

            - Your lover should also be your best friend, don't put him on the "boyfriend pedestal".

            - Sex is 50% of the relationship. When you have what you need you can deal with the other 50%. If you don't, then it becomes an issue that also affects the other 50%.

            - Fighting serves as nothing more than a hurtful word-exchange. Constant fighting tells you that there is something wrong going on that you are missing. Listen as much as you talk and remember that it's important to understand each other.

            - Be in good terms with his family.

            - Work on all the issues together. Don't try to solve anything by yourself or change him when he clearly doesn't want to. If he doesn't want to then he won't do it even for you.

            - Don't be afraid to mention something that bothers you.

I know many people who have now lost thier close friends and have burnt thier bridges by making up excuses so that they are with thier bf.
I know this is happening to me with one of my best mates.. Its starting to upset me now that i am no longer important in her life..

Don't stay in a relationship if it doesn't make you happy .
