Counselling may be a good idea for both your issues with eachother and for you own personal things that you mentioned. It will typically get harder before it gets better with counselling, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth it.

I am generally skeptical when people say "I can change."
People don't change easily, if at all. If they do, it usually has to be for a reason within themselves, not from another person, or it often doesn't "stick" and backslidig occurs.
IMHO, you need to step away and meditate on whether you wish to have these ongoing issues of trust.
Perhaps couples therapy with a neutral third party can help both of you decide whether the trust issues are something that can be overcome, or not. If it turns out that this is something that will always be a problem, you will need to decide if you can walk away from the relationship.Last edited by Oubliet; 02-21-2011, 06:34 PM.Comment
