    You have options:

    1) If he doesn't know where you live then you can just change your number. He is likely to post the video. Which will be a crime on two counts of filming without knowledge and posting without permission.

    2) Claim your preganant unless you are an excellent actor I would not be tempted as alternative actions later will be taken less seriously

    3) Tale legal advise, what ever other action you take is probably good

    4) Call the cops 'Selling' is a crime but so is 'buying' depending on where you are. Blackmail is a very serious crime (the most here) if you were also concerned you were being blackmailed into being pimped then your crime is very minor

I am not sure what I would think about my girl who did something like this and the fact it sort of was for me. Does he suspect? I think he will be proad you made such a massive sacrafise but really hurt at the same time and my affect you relationship on many levels for a long time. I you are really meant to be you will work through this. What I do know this is too big to work out alone you have to tell him and the sooner the better.

Yes, what you did was illegal, but him paying you was as well, so if he goes to the cops, he is in trouble too.
Calling his bluff is easy...just tell him its done and over and be done. He may go to your BF and that is a risk you will have to take. He may tell him anyway.
You are going to have to face the consequences of your actions at some point and time. Why keep it going any longer.

I hate to have to skirt the law here...

But I am assuming all the prostitution arrangements were cash transactions? Meaning there is no paper trail, no receipts, no credit cards stating payment for services rendered, nothing contracted, written down or texted, etc? No PROOF of anything illegal taking place?

If that is the case, then he can't PROVE that you slept with him for money, therefore there really is no proof that prostitution took place unless you were to confess. What he has is a sex tape the he made without your knowledge, and if he posts it then there is proof that he posted a sex tape of you two without your consent, that he made without your consent. THAT IS ILLEGAL. And if you go to the cops, you can tell them that, yes obviously you had sex with the man (which is legal), but it was not prostitution (no proof = no crime). If he tries to blow the whistle on you and say you were hooking, he can't prove it.. so really, other than having a suspicion, the police wouldn't be able to charge you with anything.

I wouldn't suggest getting the cops involved just yet. But I would explain this scenario to the guy that's threatening you. He may just see things your way once you explain that he needs to have proof of your disgression for you to get in legal trouble. And if he posts that video you have automatic proof of him posting a video without your consent (which will get him into some serious legal trouble).

oh, sorry I just caught the sex tapes, didn't see the mention of the recorded convos! My bad..

I still wonder what the convo's exactly SAY. It takes a lot to PROVE that anything has been done... in most prostitution cases, a sting operation is required for charges to be pressed. Because the police know EXACTLY what needs to be said to have seal their case, and swing the conversation that way... so if the recorded conversation is not specific enough, etc... it could be a worthless pc of evidence in this guy's blackmail file.

As others have mentioned, it would be good to seek some legal council... attorney or go to women's shelter and see what resources they may have!

But the point remains, that video is out there and may be forever but so are millions of vids of all sorts of people. You may consider making some changes, new hairstyle, a different look?

I don't think it would help that, but remember that any time he points a finger at you he has how many pointing back at him? He can't go to the police without incriminating himself and for several illegal actions. You could easily claim he was trying to pimp you, which it sounds like this is a set up for. I don't think he will go to the police, he may be a real jerk but I doubt he's that stupid.

I was thinking more of not being so identifiable to casual watchers of porn who might come across the video. You wouldn't want to start a great new job down the road and have your boss or co-worker come up with that. Although many people do video themselves and it isn't unknown for a POd ex to post this stuff....

Pimps go to jail for a lot longer than prostitutes do. Going into a police station and accusing a woman of being a prostitute? Hi , I think this girl jane is a HOOKER!! would likely get him sent to the loony desk where a cop scribbles stick figures and other doodles in his notepad, nods and says thanks for the info have a nice day.

They have bigger problems, and you are no longer sleeping with this guy for money. I seriously doubt they would have any interest in someone that once slept with a guy for money in the past and no longer does.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.
