I am not married, correct, and actually have little intention of doing so."I'm not perfect, but I still 'stick by' ex girlfriends who I'm still friends with, as do I with all of my friends when they need me. Why should previous numbers of partners come into the equation? People change, their needs change, they mature and evolve as people. The person who was perfect for you at 19 may well not have grown in tandem with you (as a person) and may be totally unsuited to you five, ten, or twenty years on. You can't just band all people with multiple previous partners as promiscuous."
Sorry can I ask whether you are married or not? My guess is probably not. My advice is actually for girls.
Flawed or not.. for whatever reasons your previous relationships did not work.. Fact of the matter still stands. Our grandpa and grandma probably has less partners (probably only each other), marry earlier, and not divorced and happier than we will ever be.
My granddad's wife left him when he had an accident and became disabled, leaving his daughters (my mum being one of them) to care for him. His marriage was far from happy although I do think she was the only partner he was (unfortunate enough) to have, not sure about her.
And yes, the relationship didn't work out, hence the expression ex-girlfriend.
As I'm not a girl I won't taint your thread any further, you did ask for girl advice so I'll respect that."The greatest enemy will hide in the last place you will ever look" Julius CaesarComment

Evolve, I actually think you are here to ruffle feathers, I mean you are here on a Woman's Forum, trying to tell us, women, that you have wisdom to share with us and that we are doing it all wrong, supposidly and you are right.
Mind you I am old enough to be your Mother, which suggests I may have more wisdom than you do.
This is simply and purely your "opinion".. Each person has their own morals and each person lives the way they wish to live, each learns lessons in life and takes those with them, or they choose to ignore those lessons.. That is wisdom.
How to you ascertain all of that? You are going around pulling the answers and then offering advice, judging each person here as you feel you may see it, not the reality at all OR are you assuming? Still though it appears you are wrong each time..But chandlers.. I believe you are experienced in relationships.. have you ever wished that you had one guy who stick by you at all times? A "good girl" make "good guys" just want to do exactly that.
It's an advice.
To answer your question.. Heck yeah, I am experienced, no I don't wish for that as I have it, no I am not a good girl in the bedroom, yes I am a good girl and partner to my man and he is an awesome guy and a good guy and we live in a "happy world" together with alot of love, just like it is meant to be with the ending being, until one of us dies.
As for our Grandparents. You have no idea what that generation did, as that generation knew how to keep secrets and that generation were of the belief regardless of who you married, you stay married happy or not, until you die.
What a great evolution that we can make chooses now and not live in loveless marriages, or abused marriages.....
All that you have stated, is the learning curves of a young woman that she needs to make and ascertain for herself to work out where she wants to go in life.
Woman are called names, men supposidly are "studs" but guess what? Those studs for the most part regret later in life what they did to women, especially those who deliberately took someones virginity, pretending to love them and then walking away, a week later, "yay scored"...
Mens advise here is more than welcome, in-fact we love it, because it helps balance the thought patterns and is appreciated. And Buddahboy can write where ever he likes, we can't pick and choose who can write on a thread and who can't. Nor do we want to do so.My advice is actually for girls?
I can not see anywhere in this thread where your advice/opinion is helping our members, it's judging us individually, and collectively. And, women throughout the World.
If you wish to debate then take our members seriously and see if you can learn any wisdom from their words.Last edited by CHANDLERS WISH; 07-15-2012, 02:08 PM.PUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL!Comment

This can be debated. I don't think that just because a bunch of girls don't wait until marriage that no men would marry, rather, just remain in a relationship with her.. And, are you then suggesting as they won't marry, that they are free to leave a women when ever they feel that they have "settled" to long and go onto the next one?Combine those unrealistic media inspired dreams, and male instincts for settling only with"good girls", girls willingness to provide sex in "relationships" ... Marriage becomes more unnecessary and irrelevant.
Don't you believe in the word love?PUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL!Comment

As a happily married woman with plenty of previous sex partners, I call hog wash.
Of course, if hypothetically I were still single and looking for a life partner, I would be perfectly glad to hear a man tell me he disapproved of my sexuality or found me promiscuous. Perfectly glad because then I might show him the door with no further incident.
Nature gives us shapeless shapes,
Clouds and waves and flame,
But human expectation is that love remains the same,
And when it doesn’t, we point our fingers and blame.
Register|Contact Admin|Email Admin
Comment

This is exactly, but more concisely and articulately, my point! As a happily married woman with plenty of previous sex partners, I call hog wash.

So... us poor little women need to be told how it "really" is? For the most part, the people that seem to be the most clueless are those with little to no experience and expect men to act via the Disney model. As far as I understand, you think women should be more "restrained" because that's what men (you) "want" from a woman. Quite frankly, a woman shouldn't have to pretend to be something she isn't any more than a man should. There seems to me that there is a difference of understanding of what is going on in a man's head and what their woman think is goiing on. I just want to say what I think. Woman seems so clueless and keep falling for guys and give their guys everything, then.. boom he left. Just want to add a little bit more understanding.
Real men aren't false. You seem very jaded on the whole topic, and seem to think that your line of thinking is accurate. You have a very low opinion of both men and women. Fake people are going to be fake no matter how much or how little sex they have. So, what is the real issue here?
Yes, I agree. But most of the men in this world is not "real man". We are just emotional being full with insecurities and prejudices. Ever wonder why there isn't a word "****" for man? Why call woman the "brake" while man is the "accelerate"?
welcome to the world where "real man" get the girls.. it could be that "real man" acts and say nice things because woman want to hear those. Not their actual self. ask any male who doesn't prefer a conservative (not necessarily a virgin) woman for a wive, you have an unusual male or a lying man. Just like you ask a female who wants a pauper and loser as a husband. In a final note. a ******* will always be a ******* even if you give him everything. Usually, they are the one who can pretend so well to be a "Real man" for a very long time.Comment

Evolve, you are making a very dangerous leap of attributing one factor to another without any validated research. You assume (and we all know what happens when you assume) that female sexual freedom is related to marriage and divorce rates. But you have not included factors such as female financial independence, social structures that don't denounce divorce, the social acceptability of single parents, the ease to remarry, etc. Before making such claims, be sure you can academically back your statements. There are people who claim that homosexuality is the cause of marriage breakdown. What intelligent person actually believes that, but anybody can make the claim. This is a personal belief of yours, and you are entitled to have that. But you cannot add together 2 random issues and state that they are related just because that is how you feel.
The other issue is you want women to not have pre-marrital sex so men won't think lowly of them. You know what, I had sex with men because I didn't want a man who would judge me for it. Anybody who has issue with my sexual freedom would not want to be in a relationship with me. Good for me. It weeds them out. I don't want a man who is looking for the "good girl". Why would I want to find a man that has a problem with women's sexual freedom.Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose - Kris Kristofferson and Fred Foster (sung by Janis Joplin)Comment

I did say I wasn't going to come back to this thread, but I lied.
Pre marital sex is great in my opinion, although I respect those who do wish to wait.
