O.o Wow. I hadn't heard about that. But I would say that's a warning against watching others' children at all, rather than a warning against a man sharing day care work. So sad.
Nature gives us shapeless shapes,
Clouds and waves and flame,
But human expectation is that love remains the same,
And when it doesn’t, we point our fingers and blame.
Register|Contact Admin|Email Admin
-
My husband was laid off two months ago and this is what works for us. 9-5, I go to work and he goes to his "work" whether it's finding a job or taking care of the kids. Once I get back from my job, everything is 50-50. Searching for a job is a full time effort. Your spouse needs to understand that. Make sure that you are working while she is working. Don't do things like going to the gym or coffee shop while she is working. That is what will make her feel resentful. Once she is off work, think of it as both of you are off work and share the responsibility.Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose - Kris Kristofferson and Fred Foster (sung by Janis Joplin)Comment

They started out with accusations against one guy (Ray Buckey) that seemed believable. Then the DA's office went off of the deep end. Well before the end of prosecution (persecution?), the whole story that the government was pushing seemed quite far fetched to say the least. At that point I disbelieved the whole thing and thought of it as a modern version of the Salem Witch Trials. But at least the Salem Witch Trials could be explained with ergot (amongst other possibilities).
It is sad that people would accuse a man who cared for children of others of horrible things. But it is also true that pedophiles would gravitate to those jobs if the outcome of numerous court cases is any guide.I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

She loves her job 90% of the time, I don't know how someone cold deal with all the little kids if they didn't. I don't think she wants me to do her job but she wishes I had one of my own. She has even said it's not fair that she is jealous of my "alone" time, but she still is.
I hope a schedule like the one I am thinking about will do a couple of things:1) Show her I'm not just wasting time and; 2) Give her some input on what I am doing. That's my hope anyway.Comment

Danny I would strongly take that advice, as well as her advice that work, work, work, to get that job.Don't do things like going to the gym or coffee shop while she is working.
You seemed to have missed that? It's easy to get depressed, nothing is happening, it's easy to feel negative, nothing is happening and to focus instead on how to make her happy.
When all that was said then WILL make her happy. Her man quit enjoyment and is working his but off to get that job for me.PUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL!Comment
