    Symptoms Of Love

So theres this guy... (Isnt that how everything starts?)
We're both 18, he's in the military and I'm starting college in a few weeks. We dated for a bit our Freshman year of HS, nothing serious at all (we held hands in a class) but we stayed friends. Sophomore & Junior year, we were best friends. We hung out, we talked, we hugged. The whole 9 yards.
Senior year. And boy was that a year. Started out like S/J year, just total best friends. Then he got distant a bit from me; he blamed it on different schedules. So whenever I saw him in the halls, I would give him a hug (it was kind of a thing we did). One day after school, I had stayed late for drama club. I was going from my locker towards the choir room. He had stayed after to finish a test. I went over to him and gave him a hug and he started walking me backwards. At first, I thought it was just funny and I squirmed. But then we got all the way down the hall, he grabbed my butt and then he gently pushed me against his locker. Our faces were super close and we were looking at each other for a moment before he said "Kiss Me" really seductively. So I got on my tip-toes and kissed him. (Best first kiss EVER!) But then I did something stupid and casually walked off to the choir room for drama club; my knees shaking with excitement the whole way and I never turned back to look at him. Another time we were playing tennis, I drove him home and we made-out a little in my car. He also wrote "I Love You" in my yearbook.

I feel so pathetic, but I think I've fallen for him. I fall very hard for guys, when I do fall. I dont know what to do. He consumes my mind and I miss him while he's at boot camp. My friends all say the same things. "Its cute" "You two are so perfect together" etc etc. Which is great, but it's also what I want to hear. Can anybody please tell me what their interp. of all this is? Thank you

After all of that, you two never dated? He kissed you, you walked away, you've remained friends and had one make out session...Did anything come of this? Are you two dating? I feel like I'm missing some pieces of the puzzle here. But it sounds like you both have feelings for one another.

Nope. Everythings there. We didnt/arent dating currently and nothing really came of it. Things just went on as they were before the kiss & make-out even happened. I definetly developed feelings for him and he's constantly on my mind. I'm not sure really what to do from here.

Get in touch with him the first time you can and see if he seems to be thinking the same way by flirting a bit. If he responds positively, see where it leads. There are no guarantees, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

My thoughts are. Off course you are smitten what a way to go But I also loved that you walked away. That tells a guy you are assertive. So there underlays the problem. He either likes you and thinks you kiss and say pfttt, or he got what he wanted and that was it.

Don't yet tell of your feelings, find a way to flirt with him and see his reaction and do it in a womanly manor that shows perhaps you have feelings, perhaps not so that he hopefully in his reply gives you the answer.

I love an epic love story!!!

Someone needs to take the lead here and then you two can meet on a mountain and kiss each other at sunset and drive off into the distance!

You are out for a great time if he feels the same way about you. However you should consider the pros and cons about dating someone like him, in the military. You miss him when he is away, can you stand it when he gone for a really long time after you marry?
