How should I feel now that he chose her over me. Where does that leave me. She put up with things I was "too selfish" to put up with, now they're married with a newborn. Slowly, I can see people are changing what they've told me before, am I being selfish to even think this way?

How do I find it in my heart to be happy for him?
Ever had someone you didn't necessarily think too much of, someone you feel is a lil ignorant although she is pretty, you would never feel threaten with. Before I met him, I've always had this opinion of her, and I wasn't alone.

I think firstly, we can't judge people and we certainly can not listen therefore to judgemental statements that are at the end of the day, only "opinions".
You have to be you, always be you and treat people how you see them.
He didn't choose her over you. He found that she was more compatible to him than you were and as you are noting those so called "friends" are back-tracking what they originally stated about her.
There is never a need to feel someone was better than you. Not the case. He found her more compatible and was able to fall therefore, more for her than you.
It purely means, you two would not have, more than likely lasted the distance, feel lucky. Now go and find a man that is more compatible to you than he would have been and have the same life... With the right person.PUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL!Comment

You have your own like of things, he has his and the other lady has hers. He liked how his likes and desires fit with the other lady's likes and desires. If he said you were being selfish for not doing something, then he was wrong in putting you down. Go out and find yourself someone who likes you and your likes and desires. I'm sure there is someone out there for you. Then get married if the two of you agree on it and have a baby of your own.Ever had someone you didn't necessarily think too much of, someone you feel is a lil ignorant although she is pretty, you would never feel threaten with. Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
