fact or nice thing to say
When people tell you that there is someone out there for everyone, that eveyone has a soul mate, and that there is that one special person you're made for is it a known fact or is it just something nice that everyone says when they're trying to make you feel better? Does it also depend on what you believe? -
If we perhaps look at common sense, like equals like.
So, the chances of finding someone who is "like you" only of the opposite sex, is very good odds.
What occurs alot though is that people go with "chemistry", or "lonliness" when they choose a partner and later down the track, come to realisation that they chose the wrong "type" for their partner, nothing or little to work with to make it a great union. So therefore, they settled.
I believe in soul-mates but more than one and in different forms, people who we've met before and think, where do I know this person from, or I feel like I've known this person all my life...
A life partner is about making the right choice. Compatiblity on a variety of levels is the main key in my opinion and also boils down to equal morals and equal core values/beliefs or else it comes un-stuck.
I think people do believe we all have a soul mate but I think alot of people walk blindly expecting them to just turn up one day. In understanding who you are, and what you will and won't accept in life , knowing your morals and core values, will mean they will be the only people entering your life because the others won't have a chance
PUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL! -
Yeah, it's kinda like "all dogs go to heaven." It sounds nice, but if you really think about it it probably doesn't hold water. Like CW, I do believe that multiple people can be well-suited for us, but those relationships aren't destined to succeed or even happen. Look at Adam and Eve.
I'd bank on two people with character that work hard at their relationship over people that "just have that special connection" when their eyes meet. Soul mates are made, not destined."Those sowing seed with tears
Will reap with a joyful shout." - Psalm 126Comment

Who can honestly say that they are not "compatible" with at least one person?
There are more than 7 billion people on the planet. Let's assume approximately half are adults, now you are down to 3.5 billion. Let's also assume half are male, which leaves 1.75 billion adult males. Let us further assume half of the remaining adult males are married. That still leaves you with nearly a billion men to choose from. Even when you factor in age range, you still have several hundred million potential candidates. Certainly you are compatible with at least one. Naturally, the more criteria you add to your checklist for the "perfect mate", the number continues to drops. If you must marry an extremely handsome white billionaire who is 6'6" with a 10 inch penis, then the odds are clearly against you.Comment
