    Need of some advice

Hi so I currently I'm having some major issues with my self esteem. I am 25 years old and since I was in middle school I have always been very insecure and have gotten very depressed over it . Over the years in college especially it has gotten better since I starte practicing yoga. For 3 years now yoga has been my therapy both mentally and physically and has really helped me get through a lot of my issues. Right now I'm in a medical school program in the Caribbean that is almost over, only one more mo to left. If I pass this program I get admission to medical school here in the same area. Within the first two weeks here I met someone a great amazing guy who I'm definelty not used to... All my Exs have been total *******s and never appreciated me , have also killed my confidence even more but this guy is the first guy I've met who has his life together, great family and is the sweetest person. I was sick for 2 weeks and he took care of me and continues to with everything. We are kinda dating mostly waiting to both pass this to make it official but within 2 months have really fallen for each other. Problem is now my insecurities are starting to surface and I'm very depressed I cry non stop and can't seem to get myself out of it. I'm worried I'm going to ruin what him and I have started. I'm not used to someone being this good to me and I can't understand why he wants me when there are prettier girls here. Just keep being down on myself and I don't want to ruin what we have just because of this . Someone please any advice would help me I need to change something and start thinking more positively. By the way there is no yoga classes here so I haven't done that or been eating well at all. Pretty much not taking any care of myself so that's adding to feeling unconfident . The other girls wear makeup and dress up to class but that's never been my style unless I'm going to party out somewhere . Thanks ladies ! Please help

Well...probably there are some really parts of you he liked and you are not aware of them Hey girl, guys do not like women with low esteem, my advice is not to show this to him try to look strong, do not show him your fears.

Secondly, people are different so he is, so you are so am i. Just because u dont use cosmetics it does not mean you are not beautiful, proabaly you look different and this is what he liked about. Be happy next to your man and try to figure out by following his body language what are those parts that attacted him to you in this way you will find out your best parts and which will definatly rise your confidence!

With confidence you can get any guy

We attract people based on how we feel about ourselves. You need to realise that the first boy that ever made you feel worthless, or ugly, or anything on a negative nature, was only looking after himself. You need to realise that, that person, had self esteme issues himself, usually that is why they put a woman down, to keep her.

Unfortunately, you take that with you onto the next relationship and the next, and the next, until finally someone shows you what you are actually worth.. And, you change. Because you deserve to change, and the change is, being exactly who you are, not what someone else told you you were.

That is all past, this is the present. If Yoga was your crutch, then try you-tube or free yoga on line, and find it, do it, at home.

Look at where you are heading. Your life is about to take off. Don't allow the past to bring it back down again.

        Hey hippiegirl, Welcome.

I'm not a ladies, but I do have some advice. In my experience women do two things wrong when they're worried about other women. 1) Underestimate their own physical beauty. 2) Place too much value on physical beauty.

Some men do just want someone who looks good on their arm. They're in the minority and I doubt that you want them even if you could attract one. Forget about them.

For every other man, compatibility is key - meaning attractive physically and mentally/emotionally/spiritually/etc. I would push a perfect 10 down in the mud to get to an average-looking woman with some brains. I can't tell you how many times I've met a woman that I was not really attracted to at first sight, but later found attractive once I got to know her. My wife is one of them. She turns me on like no one else has. It's impossible for any woman to take me from her. And I've been with, left, and have been left by very attractive women. Women who made my jaw drop when I first saw them. One of them still wanted me when I was having problems with my wife before we got married. She just didn't do it for me mentally.

And, personally, makeup is a turnoff. A lot of men feel the same way. One of the things I've learned is to not impose what we think onto other people. Whatever you're doing has drawn your boyfriend in to you. It's cliché, but just keep being yourself. It's working.
