Try a different pill maybe? Theres lots of different brands. My first try made me sick, my second made me moody and depressed. I talked to my doctor about it, and she put on a third, and its perfect. I understand about being scared of doctors - I am too. But my doctor wasnt too personal at all. She asked about my sickness and my moods, and thats it. She asked "do you have regular intercourse" which was the only thing slightly related to sex. -
We probably all have gender assigned to certain roles in our minds. This is probably the woman's responsibility in his. If he took the pill it might interfere with his view of his masculinity. It doesn't sound like he's that big of a jerk to me. He actually sounds somewhat patient and understanding.
I wouldn't take a pill. I don't expect my wife to either though. I don't trust them."Those sowing seed with tears
Will reap with a joyful shout." - Psalm 126Comment

It's true, I think we're not used to the idea of male birth control, as a society overall, we see birth control as the responsibility of the woman since she's the one who can get pregnant. I'm hoping the idea of male birth control becomes more acceptable. We probably all have gender assigned to certain roles in our minds. This is probably the woman's responsibility in his. My boyfriend is very far from a jerk, he's a wonderful guy, and he's been really patient and is trying very hard to be sensitive and supportive. He's always very understanding, but sex is a very touchy subject for him. I think he's coming to terms with the fact that I just want a break from birth control. I was on the pill for years and I just want some time off from it. I'm reluctant to try other methods because of the side effects, and I just like feeling "birth control free" for the time being (which also means sex free... but honestly, my sex drive really hasn't been very high.) I also really like not having to worry about pregnancy, because I'm terrified of pregnancy, and it's nice to know that no sex = absolutely no pregnancy. I always took my birth control 100%, but I've always been irrationally worried about that 1% chance of it going wrong.Comment
