It depends on your attitude. The options are:
"I hate doing this and if it wasn't for him/her, I wouldn't do this. He/she better appreciate it!!"
or
"I love him and I know he likes it. So to show my love, I do it for him."
The first breeds resentment, the second doesn't. I think the quote says something like, "10% of life is what happens to us, the rest is attitude."Comment

Maybe someone said something to him and that is why he is opening doors.I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
From a speech by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 at St. John's Church, Richmond, VirginiaComment

Okay please don't take offense to my statement because I only know a small amount of information on your relationship, but have you ever considered the possibility that he is gay? I only say that because I haven't really heard of many boyfriends pulling away from their girlfriends when she tries to kiss him... It is also totally possible that he isn't an affectionate guy and he is opening doors for you more often because he is trying to find some way other than physical to show that he cares for you.Comment
