    Sexuality

I was just wondering how and when you figured out your sexuality.

Are you heterosexual, homosexual, asexual, bisexual, pansexual, etc?

My head's in a bit of a mess at the moment and i'm curious to know where you guys are at

The previous poster had an agenda, called (hidden link/spamming) .

I think honestly within our lives alot of people question their thoughts on sexuality as they view the same sex and admire it.

There are temptations as well, stronger willed people offering suggestions that once thought upon, perhaps become a dream, slight fantasty and then confusion steps in.

I think in time people work out exactly what they are and settle down into that specific.

It varies a lot for people. I have one gay friend who knew from childhood. Another bisexual friend only discovered it when he was in his late 20s.

I think all that is important is that people be honest with themselves and their partners about this.

Heterosexual. I was in the 3rd grade when I started to feel this overpowering attraction to a girl in my class. I can remember not being able to sleep at night and feeling euphoric. Thoughts of her preoccupied my little world. I "loved" her for the rest of my elementary school career.

I don't really understand what it was about her that drove me crazy since we weren't even friends and didn't spend any time together. I had a little girlfriend across the street before that that I played kissing games with, but I can barely remember it. Incidentally, there was some really weird, homosexual things that went on with some of the boys in my neighborhood too. Some of the older boys got me and a buddy involved with it. I think that I was about 4 or 5. I didn't feel any attraction to any of them. It was just exciting, partially because the big boys were playing with us and it was secret.

About the time I was 7 or 8 an older cousin and I started really exploring. She's a solid 4 years older, so some might call it molestation. I think she has some serious guilt about it. I couldn't get enough though. It was all I wanted to do whenever we were alone. So I guess that 7-8 was the time I really started to have real sexual/romantic feelings.

I wasn't expecting to open up like this. Ah...the power of WH.

Seems like I've always like boys. I remember liking various boys going back to the first grade. I would say around age 9-10 it was clearly obvious that I was hetersexual because that was about that time I got my first real kiss by a older boy, and of course I was madly in love....hehehe

Sexuality is fluid and can change overtime and certain circumstances. For example, a person that has always identified as heterosexual may become attracted to one person of the same gender.

There is also a difference between what we identify with versus how we behave. Does curious experimenting make a person homosexual? Does a person who had to deny their sexuality and married and lived in a man/woman relationship be gay since that person never had a gay relationship? It nots always so clear cut. We need to accept that sexuality is fluid and a very grey area.

I just want to feel secure - I can never know how I'm feeling.

Just out of interest, has there ever been anyone who believed they were gay, realised they were heterosexual and had to come to terms with it?
(I know this scenario has to have happened, I'm curious about the thoughts and feelings that go on there)

I think works like "straight", "gay", "bisexual" hide the very wide range of sexual interests in people. There was a female poster here who only wanted to be physically intimate with men, but who fantasized about women and watched lesbian porn. There seem to be a fair number of straight men who are "orally bi", who want to give oral sex to other men. There are people attracted to one gender for romantic sex, but the other for BDSM type activities. there are men who want to have sex with

All of these attitudes can change over time.

In the end you don't need labels or decisions. All you need to do is be honest with your partners - by that I don't mean that you need to tell them all your interests, just that you be honest about your interest in THEM. Think about what things you enjoy, what things you find exciting - don't worry about what box that puts you in.

                    Great question
But honestly your feelings are misleading, your sexuality is not something that you figure out by doing a series of experiments. Don't get caught up with that notion.
