I agree with kitty, it seems like a zero sum game.

I understand your frustration about being pushed around by his demonically possessive girlfriend, but you have to pick your battles. If you stand up to her it will probably just escalate, resulting in more stress for you over a guy you don't feel even respects you. What's the point?

If it was me and I ended the friendship with this guy and he texted later, I would be polite but unwavering in the 'you are at arm's length forever' approach.
