Thread jacking is fine, since my original thread was answered.

As to the topic of young people not being wise... I will not qualify myself on said topic because i dont think its very important. If i never mentioned my age would that have added more credit to my post. The fact is the older generation was brought up to believe "The older you are the more wisdom you contain" btw I'm 22 My birthday was last week.

Like i said before Wisdom is the balance between experience and knowledge.

    Wisdom comes from multiple sources.
Learning from your mistakes. You can not grow wise doing things you already know. You can be 80 and not be wise. How so? If you get up every day at the same boring time, and do the same boring routine, and drive the same boring route. Go to the same boring job. Have lunch at the same boring location. Eat the same boring meal. Drive the same boring route home. Get home and do the same boring things then go to sleep and do it all over again.

What mistakes have you made that day. What is so significant from today as a result of yesterday?

Can you answer that question. If not i suggest you take the time and look at yourself.

The purpose of life is to Survive and Replicate. Everything you do your work, your education, your hygiene, your children is a byproduct of the choices you have made. I see life as the end result of choice, as one giant algorithm. You have a choice to either get up or stay in bed. You have a choice to collect your check or dont.

You living right know is evidence of you making the "right" choices through life so in that aspect i can understand that a 40+ would typically have more wisdom then a 20+ yr old. Who is to say the "Right" choices make you grow as an individual?

If your living the same mundane life for the past 20+ years where does your wisdom seed from. Maybe you can tell me the most efficient way to get to your work from your exact location while simultaneously stopping at the cheapest gas station.

Your knowledge is mostly influenced by your upbringing. Do you think it is possible for parents to give there children the wrong advise?

As far as the topic of young people not knowing what intimacy is. That is complete garbage (for a lack of a better term). I know what its like to tell a girl that you are completely in love with her and she laugh in your face. I know what it feels like to think about nothing more then then getting to bed just so you can smell her hair and admire what you have. I know what its like when you want to propose to a girl but never do because she passes away the week before your planed surprise. I know what its like to live life and make choices that require courage.

It is when you do courage that you gain wisdom.

The fact is dont ever judge a persons life experiences by there age.

Just my .02 cents. After all, it may be just worth that since I'm only 22.

    Take care,

    Live laugh and love.
Nice guys don't finish last, weak guys finish last.

For the sake of clarifying that age means nada in regards to life experience or wisdom or whatever... i know some 23 year olds that have the mental age of a 12 year old (and have no idea what intimacy is)... whereas, i also know some 23 year olds, myself included , that are frightfully intune with 'life experiences' - usually and sadly, brought about by tragic experiences. In addition, i know a fair few 40 somethings that have the mental age of a 12 year old and again, havent experienced 'true life' challenges...

However, thats not to say that in 20 years time i wont be any wiser... i havent reached my intelligent peak as yet.... i hope....

This thread really got me thinking. I also noticed on this forum that men seeking help for relationships here get bashed by the males too...I was only trying to get help. So I too see bias here towards the females no matter what the subject is about. This is the reason I no longer seek advice on the forum. It is interesting reading though so I keep it at arms length because of the experiences I have had here. It just doesn't seem realistic for advice here unless you are female. Men=bad guy (even if they are looking for help) and women=can do no wrong.

Sorry if I hijacked. Bash away...

I'm an equal opportunities basher. Usually, in any situation, both parties need a good smack.

Well that sucks that you feel that way. Is it not to do with the advice you received here being that of what you didnt want to hear? Im not 'bashing', im just trying to understand the reasoning behind your bold statement....

Here's the thing... Initially, we all pointed out perhaps she had been abused. You confirmed that i think after asking her. So that was the reason we believed to be shy she wasn't as sexual as you want.. She also pointed out your "new" and excited, she mean't 1 year means you want to explore but she had bad pasts, so we said be patient. Now what happened from there to turn it around was, a couple of posters didn't even read the beginning and started to go on about how to be a better lover and putting you down, they do it all the time, just read what they want to read, the post above, and went into teaching you how to make love, stup1d, so there you should have simply bought back the issue at hand and mentioned that she had been raped and how do you overcome her fear there of sex to be intimate... But, you took offense, re-open it and speak to us.

Now LLL, I will say it in two lines :-

Bloody, bloody, bloody only joking... Age is not relevant, you lot do and know more than we did back then, re intimacy and even connection which is a positive and something i admire may stop more divorces... Age is wisdom as even i have learnt more on intimacy and what i want as a result... Age verses Age is therefore equaled out we both have something to offer.

              End......

But, the thread has got interested as it twists and turns to all sorts of directions.

              Which makes a good thread.
