we don't know what we got till its gone is soo true taking our partner for granted is the worst... why be with someone if you are going to ignore them?? He is jepordizing his family for some fun. Its about balance he has to put his family in there, friends, work, time alone, time for just himself and you. -
Thanks for all the responses, I have taken them in. I fall off from Womens-health now and then especially when things are going okay between us. I am going alone to the counselor tonight, cause I need to talk and work out my feelings. Brandon buddy buddy ups with these girls from his work and I can't deal with it. I met him at his job on Sat. night and I went out with them. At one time Brandon asked me if I cared if he walked a girl to her car, I said no and then a few days later he says he feels that was immature and not needed but he just did it for me. One of the girls tells me how one day she was sad at work and Brandon came up to her asking "what's wrong and has she talked to her guy latley?" and then gave her a hug. This did bother me cause Brandon don't even hug me when I am upset. Brandon and I are grown ups with kids, the real life, real relationship and I feel these friendships he carrys on with these girls are more suit for people in their early 20's and these girls are in their early 20s with no kids (one girl had a kid but mentioned she is not meant to be a mother, doesn't read to her kids and wishes she could take it all back). At the end of the night Brandon says to me "see these are my friends who I go out and drink with". I'm just not okay with that, he don't need to go be going out with a couple of girls after work even if he is not cheating with them. I am going to talk to a counselor about this tonight cause I need to communicate with Brandon on this. Brandon also will go out and when he is out he will not answer my calls. The fact he is a chef and people in restaurants usually go out and drink after work is no excuse for ignoring my calls. There is so much too it.Comment

The restaurant/food service industry is particularly bad.
I worked as a waiter during college at a nice restaurant and let me tell you, in that place you could cut the sexual tension with a knife.
It seems to attract a bunch of partying/drug using individuals.
I remember hearing some moan and groan about not having any money, but at the end of their shifts, they would go out and blow their tips on booze and drugs. Not bashing anyone or saying they are all like this, just relaying my personal experience.
I'm with you...I wouldn't want him going out with the staff, either. There should be a way you two can come to a compromise on this. I'm curious to see what the counselor says. Good Luck.Comment

S*&^ always comes up, a few days ago our truck broke down and I was going to try with everything to still make it, but it just couldn't. I was even going to take the bus but the bus stopped running out by the counselors by the time I would of gotten out of there. The restaurant/food service industry is particularly bad.

A person is a person, and I believe that you can still be a stable person even if you work in that atmosphere.Comment

Depends on their personality,....A person is a person, and I believe that you can still be a stable person even if you work in that atmosphere.
If they are "weak" they will succumb to what others are doing, at least as far as partying goes, because they want to "belong"...
I'm with OhThereYouAre, I spent 17 years in the Industry from 18 years of age and seen it all.PUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL!Comment

Those of you that are or have been in the food industry, I wonder this: Have you ever seen someone that is in that industry, even works evenings but don't get caught up in the drinks, partying, flirting and that kinda of stuff? I just can't use that as an excuse for him, that's why I ask the above question.
Sometimes he acts so immature with those girls there. I wish he would carry himself in a more mature respectable manner.Comment
