    Postponement of marriage

Many women are surprised when they hear that I am 22 and stil single without married!!
    is this really strange ..?
I am in fact put off marriage for two reasons:
1 - Until I get a job maybe in a year or two, no more no
2 - So far, I can not find the right person to become my hubbie as yet.

I'm 37 and I'm not married. Never have been. Had lots of boyfriends though. And not a one of them worth marrying! Lol.

My group of friends and I think that that age is way too young, actually.

          It's all about your needs

I decided at 20 to get married and my husband and I grew up together for the most part. There are times I wish I would have waited because he does still act a little juvenile at times, but for us it worked. I think personally around age 24-28 is the perfect age to get married. By then most have their educational goals out of the way and are ready to settle down and start a family.

Zactly, my Mom felt the right time was when she was 25 and their marriage lasted 40 years with a lot of work and tweaking to make it harmonious. My friend felt his time to get married was 23. I feel like the time to get married is when it feels right.

I don't think of marriage as the goal. Rather is it what you do when you are already sure you are going to spend the rest of your life with that person. Marriage is a way of affirming what you already feel, but it doesn't really change anything. So - get married whenever it seems right, but no reason to rush. I know happy couples who never bothered to get married.

i got married at 18 & everyday i'm glad i married aaron. i knew that i wanted to wake up to next to him every morn & b the one waiting for him at the door when he came home. i knew i wanted to clean up all the messes he made & fix ne trouble he may have gotten himself into. u r wise to wait for the right person & not marry cause other ppl have! u r doing wat is smart & good for yourself....give urself a pat on the back!

I'm 22 and have been with my boyfriend for 5 years now. Many, many people, friends and family included, ask when we are getting married. BF jokes and says when he's 40. I'd LOVE if he proposed, but money won't allow us to have the wedding I want just yet. I'm finishing college in 4 months though, so we'll see!
