    (edit) Just because a man is diabetic does NOT mean that he will not be able to sexually satisfy you (why your parents would EVER tell you that I do not know). They know nothing of your sexual needs, or his sexual needs, that's between the two of you. There are medications for ED, nothing to worry about there. If you love the guy and he loves you that much, then you should be able to handle the fact that he's a diabetic. My daughter married a diabetic and to my knowledge (yes, she would tell me) there has never been any problems of that sort, not anything serious I'm sure. This is your life, not your parents' and it's your decision as to who you marry. Maybe checking out some books on the subject of diabetes and sitting down with them and really pouring your heart out to them will help them to understand your desperate need for their approval. I hope all this works out for the two of you.
