Geez people... It's not as if you have a crazy amount of excess skin after pregnancy. Yeah, you'll have stretch marks, MAYBE, but it's not as if you have a deflated balloon hanging off the front of you. And, I have yet to ever talk to another woman who got large lady lips from pregnancy, more than likely if you have them after, you had them before. Breasts are debatable, mine didn't change a whole lot, but they'll sag when you are older anyways. Good lord.Comment

I say they should give it a go if they believe it will, but if still nothing happens and they are still unhappy then maybe surgery could be the last ditch effort. Or leave all as is, its all individual taste.Well, exercise will not get rid of excess skin, nor will it shrink your lady lips, nor will it lift your breasts. Just sayin'
I will not at all mind the larger breasts if they do come and a good bra can fix the sag. But the belly is my personal big fear. When you are pregnant your skin is going to adapt and stretch, once that baby is gone that extra skin from being inflated does not disappear and it will remain, large or small amount. I am not going to look forward to that and I really despise working out which is why I like the idea of a tummy tuck type procedure (providing I have the cash). There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.Comment

I have a few stretch marks but they are hardly noticable. I think I got those in my second pregnancy because I gained too much weight that time. I see people with awful stretch marks who've never had a baby, they either had a really fast growth spurt in their youth or gained a lot of weight. My ex husband had huge stretch marks - he never had a baby.
As for getting a stretched out or enlarged vulva, that is total hog wash.
But if you are this concerned and this squeemish, I would recommed forgoing pregnancy or childbirth. it's not neat and tidy, nor is caring for a newborn.Comment

Thanks LanaBear and WildChild, for filling me in on the reality of it!! I've never, as you probably guessed, had a baby nor been pregnant so what happens to the body and a relationship is creek to me. Never looked into it or really known anyone who had children so I know nothing really about the subject. I keep a good workout routine and maintain a healthy diet so I am sure I will bounce back after I do have a baby. Just wanted to make sure that in general a man can appreciate the woman's body (mentally and physically) once a woman gives birth. I realize that I won't go from a size 6 to a 12 unless I "eat for two" lol and don't exercise during and after pregancy, as well as, the vagina and breast aren't going to change too much but that I guess the mental thought of "oh god, an 8lbs baby came out of there. that is just not right, can't go near that anymore." That's all. Like I said I am not going as drastic as surgery in my attempts after pregancy to regain my former figure either, to expensive and not needed.Comment

As far as the lips go, the only reason I knew about the stretching was from my bf. He said he has plenty of friends who say their wives' have stretched out. I said "really? I never realized." So, I don't know, I haven't seen the women's lips myself, and haven't asked any of my friends if that happened to theirs. It's good to hear that it doesn't happen to all women though.Comment
