I love all of your stories! They're all so romantic in their own ways! I remember mine perfectly. We decided to go camping for my birthday in this tiny fishing community town. Anyways, we were right on the water, and it was just after sunset. We were playing crib using the light of the lantern. Anyways, I couldn't help myself from glancing at the water over and over cause it was so pretty. My boyfriend said "It's your turn" and I turned to the board, and there dancing in the light of the lantern was a little white box. He proceeded to get down on one knee and ask me to marry him! We will be celebrating our one year wedding anniversary Dec 12!

He did it upon reconciliation, after 2 months of break. I was moving apartment units, changed things I could just to be able to move on from him. I cut all communication with him and dated other people. But things always pointed to his direction - whatever I do.

He took a day off from work to drive for 4.5 hours to see me again, he helped me move all my things into my new apt unit. Night came, we finally finished moving all of my things, and we rested in my new bedroom. He faced me and looked at me in the eyes...told me he apologizes for all the bad things he caused me, then he continued to tell me ho loves me and he asked if I would marry him, to which I answered "yes". He wanted to get married in 2 to 3 months, and so we did. We'll be on our 1st year on Dec. 18.

Hey, Marmar86....we're both married in the same month. Congratulations!

Cat nearly 1 year? Wow does time fly. Shall try to remember that date

We were talking and talking, laughing and laughing, just generally enjoying each other's company and conversation. We were going through the house, discussing ideas and as we reached the bathroom door, he turned to me, took my chin in his hand looked me in the eyes and said,
" my full name, will you marry me when I'm Divorced", I actually laughed then felt all mushy and said yes... He hadn't been separated for the 12 months required by the way...

A few months later, we shopped for rings... Then the problem occured, where he wanted to give me the ring, at the restaurant of our first date, but I said, well then I would know that your going to do that Then off course, Xmas, NYE, I would know , expect that as well....

So on Saturday evening, he cooked a beautiful meal, candles lit and two glasses of champagne... As I sat down, he said, " your champagne has more bubbles than mine?", I looked at his glass, then mine, didn't get it, although mine was bubbling more, so he then said, there's a ring in it, I looked closer and there was my engagement ring.

He then said " I love you", and I said, you forgot to ask me, only joking... as he already had, lol's... But he asked again and I said yes, drank the champagne as quick as I could so I could get the ring....

We then told everyone, caught a taxi, went out for a couple of drinks.

But, I'll never forget the night he asked me and how I felt...

My fiance took me golfing for the first time (he loves golf) and popped the question on the 9th hole (we only played 9 because I was SO BAD). He was so patient with me and I'm so glad we have another activity to share.

my husband tried to be all sweet about it but I had found the ring and ruined it . But it was at midnight between Christmas eve and day he got down on one knee in his apartment. It was so sweet and I feel bad he didn't get much of a reaction b/c I had found it earlier and I think I kind or ruined it for him. After that I made a vow to myself no snooping for Christmas gifts.
