Thanks CW. But I feel like that video was telling me how I should feel and that I should forgive all men, as if all men have committed crimes against me. The thing is, I don't walk around with a grudge on my shoulder because of what has happened to me. I feel like that video makes women seem like we are unforgiving. But the apologies seemed sincere. So I give them credit for that.

That's an interesting perception of the video....

I see more in it than that, I see the whole picture of how women are perceived as not being equal and not being respected, not been seen for their emotions, nurturing rather expected and mis-understood.

I see it as man saying "walk beside me" for too long we have made you "walk behind us"....

Some men. Not yet all. And not all women are supportive of being equals either. They want to get revenge by putting the man behind the woman. I don't see any difference. We are all just people.

That's so true, we are ALL just people and it's a fickled world and we should all be equal..

The purpose I guess of that video was to say for along time women haven't been treated as equal but I guess a video could be made, same with women to men in alot of areas, as often I think men are deemed as "man" as well as non-emotional, no real needs which is not true.

I'm alive. I hope someone calls me this week about a job. I'm cooking a bunch of food this evening. So hungry. You?

Job hunting sucks. I'm seriously underemployed and since my ex is falling down on child support, things are getting dire. I've been on the hiring side of things and for me an important factor was how they looked and acted in the initial process of getting an application or coming to apply; how are they dressed, how they conduct themselves, language usage, all that. Then when calling to set up an interview; do they know how to answer a phone ("this is she" not, "I'm her" or "yeah"). The current practice of doing it all online and by email eliminates that part of the selection process. That means that you can look great, have good presence, and interact well but that will not convey in the emailed information and you have the same "presence" there as the heavily pierced person with "hate" tattooed across their forehead. While there is something to be said for the lack of prejudgment in some regards, companies looking for someone to represent them have to be very aware of appearance, ability to work with others and a variety of other factors that do not come across online on a resume'.
              It's frustrating.
              Good luck with your search!

Well that said it all, "I'm alive"

Keep sending them out there, I don't think you answered a question earlier from me? Is there potential for work for you where you are living with your other half?

I'm almost dying to ask you also what you cooked seeing it was a bunch of stuff...

530am now I have to work out how to stop a dog from scratching at 530am with dermotitis, I don't have to get up until 6am (diabetic dog), now her friend Ruby is waking me up half an hour earlier, ahhh

Hi Wild Child. I'm sorry you are so frustrated with the hiring process. It is pretty rude for someone to answer the phone with "yeah." They are probably doing that because in the beginning they think you are a telemarketer. On the other hand, "This is her" is poor English. What job(s) are you hiring for? I hope that it's not a teaching position.

Hey CW. I'm terribly sorry you have been woken up so early. I'm curious to know how you take care of your diabetic dog. By that I mean, is it the same as caring for someone with diabetes? Do you have to check his/her blood sugar? Does your dog need insulin? I have to check my blood sugar periodically for my reactive hypoglycemia. It has been farely easy to manage, except when I am sick or under a lot of stress.

Alive is good. I don't want to be dead. I have a lot that I want to do. As far as the food, I cooked a whole chicken (stuffed), corn on the cob, two deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, chicken gravy, and made some home-made biscuits, which I think that Aussies call scones. Please let me know whether I'm right or wrong. That's what my fiance's dad calls them. He's from South Africa. Oh, and I also have some cranberry sauce. I just felt like cooking a mini thanksgiving, but with chicken. I like to cook but my fiance doesn't eat meals regularly. He snacks a bunch, healthy ones of course. He's on his way home now.

And there are jobs here, it's just a matter of finding someone willing to hire a new-graduate with no experience as a RN. I only have experience as a CNA (healthcare wise). I'm very hopeful about one job in particular, but I'm not putting all of my ducks in a row. Wish me luck and good luck with your dog's dermatitis and diabetes.

Hey monK I am getting used to it :P Actually Ruby is my fiance's dog, he is eating the same diet as Kia (the diabetic) which is healthy, full of carbs and protein and vegetables, plus he is groomed so I am at a loss with regards to his dermatitis.... I also have a Pomeranian She recently had a, what I would call a mini stroke. She is 15 and a half, but she is almost back to exactly as she was after 4 weeks, she was determined but she woke me 5 times a night, yelling to get off her bed for one reason or another, fear as well, as she couldn't walk originally I'm blessed.

Kia, (the diabetic).. Yes, she has had hypoglycemia a couple of times, whilst we were trying to get the insulin right which we think we have...Originally, she rejected the insulin and we had her up to .6 but now she is on .4, I keep telling the vets one day she will be nil...Cats apparently can go back to normal, dogs no, but IDK, given she has gone down I could be lucky.

With dogs, yes, she is on insulin every 12hrs so for me it's 6am and 6pm whilst giving her, her food, at 5pm I take her for a walk and straight after I give her an egg because, basically, she is ready to eat and obviously I can't do that at the 11th hour....

I know when she was stressed her curbs were high, this is why they "thought" she needed more insulin...They have sent me home with a do it yourself but the last two times I tried it (prick her ear and get the reading) she hated it and it kept saying error

The only downside is never getting to sleep in, however, we are off to Melbourne Friday for two days for our birthdays and her and Ruby are going to the vets in a shared bording area and little Missy (Pomeranian) will have someone staying over, me,yay I get to sleep in for two days (I hope)

Yes, scones apparently are what you call buscuits, I was in a part of America a couple of years ago and your gravy? We call white sauce and we really only ever use that on fish.... So your fiance is South African can I ask what nationality you are?

I love roasts, my fiance is a Chef, I previously spent 17 years in the Hospitality Industry under management and learnt a lot from Chefs and Cooks, dabled when Chef's quit whilst finding a new Chef once for a party of 100, phew I passed.....If you ever want some Australian (which is multi-cultural) dishes to try? Ask away....

Can you offer your services as a "un-paid trainee" for a month with RN?

It does sound difficult to check a dog's glucose. As for the dermatitis, my cousin's dog had a severe case of that and she benefited from freqent oatmeal baths. She also washed her dog with baby shampoo. Maybe you could try that.

I actually cannot offer services unpaid. I also have to pay back a loan by working full time as a RN. That's the deal. They pay for a year of education and I work in North Carolina for a year as a nurse.

As far as blood sugar on my part goes, I'm sort of an opposite. I can eat someting and my glucose raises to a normal level for after a meal or during stress but my pancreas overreacts and sends out more insulin than necessary to try and stablize it. Then my sugar will drop to a low level. It's actually controllable with diet. I eat every 2 or 3.5 hours and eat a snack before bed. So I havn't had a bout of hypoglycemia in a while.

My fiance is actually American, as am I. My family is of mixed culture (American Indian, Hispanic, Scotch-Irish). I have inherited blond hair and blue eyes though. My fiance's mother is from USA and his father from South Africa. Small world, right?

As far as gravy goes, we have lots of different sauces here. You will find something different depending where you are in the US. I can't think of anything I need a recipe for right now, but likewise if you want some recipes. I eat so many different things.

I hope that you get to sleep in while you are on vacation. Happy Birthdays!
