Nice. Unlike my thoughtful mate, I'm crude and insensitive and got her nothing for our anniversary. I was about to get her a watch and then found out she wanted a specific one of those fit things. I'm ready to get her something nice now, but she just seems to have everything. Getting her something with her initials on in would be nice.

Stillness, it doesn't have to be a physical gift. I am very particular about personal stuff like clothes and jewelry. I would prefer my husband not buy those things. To me, a mini vacation, a party with MY friends (not his family), or scheduling me a spa appointment while he cleans the house would be more appreciated. The best card he ever gave me and I actually remember, is one he made on the computer with a funny personal joke on it. Hallmark cards are soooo boring, even the funny ones.

I've done things like laying out a picnic in front of the fireplace or making heart shaped cookies or making his favorite food for dinner. It doesn't have to be an expensive gift to be good.

Why not a couples massage at the spa. They can be very relaxing for the both of you and then you could carry it through to dinner and an evening out.
That which we forget may as well never really happened.

Everybody seems to love massages. Am I the only one that doesn't want strangers rubbing all over me and my wife's bodies?

You could also give him something like miracast/chromecast/eazecast, or one that works only with your TV. He'd be able to play games from his phone, tablet, or computer, on the telly, without cables. Fast memory cards...

Perhaps it doesn't sound romantic, but if it is what he likes...

About the soccer connection, some kit from his favorite team, but he probably already has that. Or a season ticket.

Or go with the spicy ideas. Since you're dining out, after dinner, there could be a hotel night as a surprise, or something a little different at home.
I think I'll buy him a Manchester United shirt (his fav football/soccer team) with his name on it since his current one is getting old and looks a little small on him now. I'll also get a PS4 game dunno which one as of yet and I'll buy a ticket for a Man United game, aren't I such a generous wife lol hopefully I get something good.

I'm not sure whether I should buy another Man United shirt that has a star player's name on it like Rooney, Van Persie or the new players they bought in like Angel Di Maria and Falcao. I just about know these player's names because I watch Football with hubby.

For the record I'm getting him a Manchester United shirt with his name on the back, Destiny PS4 game and tickets to see Man United play Everton next month at Old Trafford so we can make a trip of it. I'm such a generous wife hopefully hubby puts in his weight and gets me something

Forget buying a massage for your lady! Do it yourself (for like an hour or more) and buy something else for her. Maybe even research massaging techniques so that you can appear to be a pro

Elena, I think your gift ideas work. Also, he'd be getting three things, which is cool.

Also, I totally get what Dream is saying about gifts like clothes. With that being said, I am getting my GF a nice pair of Tory Burch shoes for our anniversary (anniversary of being BF/GF, not marriage). I know for certain that she will love the shoes. May get her a little something extra on the side, too. Still need to think. Of course, we are going to a nice place for dinner as well(I'll be in crutches though ).

Personally, I always try to convince the GF to get me nothing for Xmas, anniversary, and my B-day. Never works though.
