Can you use a computer at teh public library or at a coffee shop that has internet? I just worry that he'll read this and we won't hear from you again.

        Hi Angel,
This is my first time to the site reading your post was an encouragement to me, so I decied to join. Although my situation is not as severe as yours, I have (as of yesterday) come to realize that my husband is infact a controller, after reading your post it hit me like a brick! That is him! After a visit with my Councilor yesterday, I may have some information for you. Or at least this is information I never knew existed. Ofcourse I am new to this type of thing.

Anyway, it was suggested to me that a battered womans shelter can be of great help. I know you dont have a phone or car, but these shelters will send a taxi to come and get you, right to your door. Furthermore they will give you a room voucher so that you can have a SAFE place to stay. Some even have thier own housing facilities. They have Councilors, legal aides to help with a restraining orders, and as my Councilor said they "have people who know people" that can help in most any situation. You dont have to have filed a former complaint with the police, they take you on your word. You have a computer, the shelter here has an email address, yours probably does too. So that would be a great way for your to communicate with them. They can probably send a taxi to your door right away, and woosh you will be on your way out of this mess. Please take all the needed items such as meds, id, keys, bank information, some clothes, birth certificates, etc with you, dont plan on comming back for them. Then you can come back with an officer and collect your things. Your hubby sounds like he might be the type to walk through a restraining order. My Dad was an alcholic, he sure was. So the shelter can help you get somewhere where you are safe, he will have no idea how to find you, it will be as if you stepped off the face of the earth, if you are not working you this would be perfect for you. Good luck to you sweetie! I will be praying for you!
