    I am gonna choke him!

We have a baby on the way and he wants to keep spending money on anything and everything. Things we dont need or anything. When I say something to him he acts like he needs it. Ok do you really need a new trigger for your brand new, week old paintball gun??? MEN!!!!!!!

If life's not about fun what is it about?

If women had their way everything would be strictly utilitarian, and the child within us would die as we aged.

Anyway, I've heard that it's our immaturity that is attractive.

So, as long as he's not gambling away all of your money - get over it ...

I really hope some woman spends all your money on shoes and makeup when you're trying to save up one day, and then someone tells you to get over it because it's endearing, lmao.

Yeah, like any woman is ever going to have access to my bank account ....

Even if I ever get married, which I doubt, it'll be separate accounts for me...

But what I meant to say by that is, that women often don't have hobbies (their hobby is spending money), wheras men have interests to keep themselves occupied, and women need to understand that we NEED that. We need to have our own interests and stuff, otherwise we become hateful zombies.

Obviously some peope take it too far, in fact I know a few guys who can't help but spend money on totally useless , like some wheels for a skateboard he hasn't ridden in six months, or buying DVDs when they could just as well download or rent them etc.

haha I know ...I definantly think to myself it could be worse.... but come on!! The paintball trigger thing is just a small complaint. He also wants a new car, snowmobile, 4 wheeler, canoe, jet ski, dirt bike....blah blah blah blah blah!!! I could go on and on here! I said no way. We have a house we just built last August, we put a fence up, a deck, electric fence (dogs kept digging under wooden fence) a brand new shed, and he just laid sod. Last thing I bought for myself was curtains for our bedroom. Life is great!

It seems $$$$ can do amazing things to guys.... You have your curtains, i'll have a bike thanks...

                True...

We are all little kids somewhere along the line, thank god, who would want to be a boring old, married couple?

He just needs to hear 1 yes to 4 no's, with a next time, later at the end of it... lol.. (go for the cheapest thing he wants)...

                Only kidding.

Its important to keep track of the size of the costs. A new real simulated mother-of-pearl shift lever for your car is a expense, but a small one. A new car when the old one works is in some sense not as but it a large expense. Its ok to waste a bit of money on small things, but not on the big items.

My wife and I have a fun money budget. I get to spend money on dumb things I want, she spends a matching amount (or saves) on dumb things she wants. This budget has escelated to rather large expenses - but at least it is fair.

It's funny that when a woman goes out and spends money on new curtains for a home the both of you share it turns into spending money is a woman's hobby but buying a new trigger for a new gun that probably came with a perfectly functional trigger is a NEEDED hobby.

I do agree that we all need our own hobbies but they come second to paid bills, food in the house, comfortable living... who wants the guy across the street to be able to see into your bedroom cuz there are no curtains... and such like this.

We have separate bank accounts which our own paychecks are deposited into. We pool it, pay the bills, buy food and other neccesities, fill both of our vehicles up put a set amount into savings and split the left over for personal use. He then pays his own personal bills out of his share and I pay mine out of my share. Tough that the personal bills may be more than whats left over. Our feelings are, you made the bill, you pay it. If you cant pay it the expense shouldnt have been incurred.

I am fortunate to have a job that pays well and I pay the majority of the bills. After that, I just figure if the money is there then its there and if not, oh well, maybe next time.

We happen to have similar hobbies so the expenses are somewhat similar.
