Mirena affects your hormones so it's no wonder you start acting strangely or your body no longer functions the way it should, thus the mood swings, depression, hair loss, exhaustion, and even cysts. Is skipping a monthly period, which in itself is a cleansing process, really worth this?

******The Patient is Not to Blame****** MIRENA is AGGRESSIVELY Pushed by BAYER & CLINICS!!!

I am here to say that blaming and chastising women who have undergone these horrific symptoms is completely wrong:

I have had all the awful side effects, starting with mood swings, and with more stress they worsened, until I went into a state of shock after the first year (**after I stopped breastfeeding, there's a link, it's all hormone related)... from intense panic attacks to laying in bed for weeks on end with no energy or will to live. Only thing that kept me going was the need to care for my kids- I got out of bed to feed and change them, couldnt even feed myself, couldn't bare to eat most of the time.

Here's my beef with BAYER and the folk who push them, and insinuate that the patient must have done something wrong to have this happen to them: BAYER & CLINICS DO NOT GIVE YOU A COMPLETE LIST OF PRECAUTIONS AND SIDE EFFECTS. They give you a little pamphlet, with incomplete / selective information, and I don't want to go overboard with a lengthy description here, but if anyone has questions I can send you the links and you can do your own research and decide.

There is HOPE though, ladies- I got my IUD out today, and talked to a OBGYN in a private practice- NOT A CLINIC - He said, and I quote, "Yes I have read up on this... I never push the MIRENA IUD's, and would never recommend it, or Birth Control Pills, to anyone predisposed to mood disorders." Well, the pamphlet I got said NOTHING of the sort, and neither do the PDF forms BAYER releases in the US. (Sorry I am gonna say it- some folks whether they will admit it or not don't think poor people should reproduce, and will push any method of Birth Control they can in some clinics.) All I was told was, there's a very small chance of perforation or shifting, but 98% of women have no problems, and the 2% that do usually occurs during insertion or within the first few weeks of insertion. I event called my OBGYN who inserted it a year later when I was going through hell and he said the IUD shouldn't be the problem... he had no knowledge of the current issues or of any facts linking my symptoms to the MIRENA... why? BECAUSE BAYER DOESNT TELL PHYSICIANS OR PATIENTS WHAT THEY NEED TO KNOW. When my intuition and suffering forced me to research it despite my Doc's reassurance, I found that it's really 5 - 15% of women reporting these problems, and a whole lot of effort goes into doing the opposite of reporting truthful, complete information on this product- it's a MEAT MARKET, BAYER's A BUNCHa DRUG PUSHING BUTCHERS.

Bottom line is: BAYER DRUG COMPANY HAS DONE THIS WITH PRODUCTS IN THE PAST, THEY INCUR HUGE LAWSUITS, AND THEY SIMPLY CHANGE THE PRODUCT NAME AND FORMULA SLIGHTLY AND KEEP DOING IT BECAUSE THEY MAKE MORE SALES THAT WAY.

I DONT WANT TO HEAR ANYONE ELSE BLAMING THE PATIENT FOR NOT KNOWING WHAT THEIR DOCTOR SHOULD HAVE KNOWN>>> COME ON!!!!

MORE HOPE: after you get the IUD out there's almost immediate relief, and although the "MIRENA CRASH" may occur for some time while the PROGESTERONE filters out of your system, YOU WILL BE YOURSELF AGAIN! GOD BLESS YOU ALL I PRAY FOR ALL WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM THIS AND HOPE YOU GET IT YANKED OUT IF YOU'RE HAVING THESE SYMPTOMS. XOXOXOX

The mirena causes serious damage to the female body, and the only way to get rid of these side effects for good is to remove the mirena and take natural supplements, herbs and foods and consider natural therapies that will eliminate estrogen dominance, help restore the balance of progesterone and estrogen hormones, and detoxify the body from all the toxins present in mirena such as silicone and copper.
