Change of pill, change of feelings

Ok, first thing to say is that I am a guy, but don't know where else to turn to.

I'd been seeing my girlfriend for about 3 months, everything was fine, and by that I mean as near to perfect as can be - no arguments or anything even close to one, just getting on absolutely brilliantly.

Anyway, due to the recent spell where Marvelon was out of stock/production she had to switch to another brand (I don't know which). She started to take the new pill and had headaches, flashes of random colour before her eyes etc and became really cold towards me. She phoned the doc after taking it for about 10 days or so and he said to stop taking it, but she must have a 7 day break before restarting another pill. The day after she stopped taking it she came round and broke up with me, completely out of the blue (so far as I can tell). The following day i text her to say come and talk to me about it but she was having none of it and I still haven't been able to speak to her 3 weeks later! During this 3 weeks she has had the 7 day break and been back on the Marvelon for about 2 weeks or so but still won't talk to me.

My question is, is it possible that the changes of pill (Marvelon to new one for about 10 days, then 7 day break, and then back to Marvelon) has somehow caused her feelings for me to change, and if so, are they likely to return to normal after a full cycle (or more) back on the Marvelon? It has been driving me mad, cos I just don't know what happened as she won't answer the phone or reply to my texts! I don't know whether to wait for a month or so then try contacting her again, or just put it down to experience and write the relationship off. And before anybody says anything...I really seriously, hand on heart didn't do anything wrong During her time on the new pill she became very cold towards me and I could barely touch her, before this we used to lay on the sofa cuddled up watching tv and she was incredibly affectionate and touchy feely. It's driving me mad! p.s. Before anybody suggests it, I know absolutely 100% that there's nobody else, so don't even go there

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

Is it possible? Sure. Messing with our hormones can cause some major drama, melt downs, etc. I was put on a pill I'd never been put on before a couple of months ago. I was a mess. I took it for 10-14 days and had to stop, it was horrible.

Could it just so happen to coincide with her change of feelings? Definitely a possibility.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like you are being given a whole lot of closure or understanding as to what exactly happened. That is too bad.

Thanks for your response LanaBear. I hoped that once she got back on the Marvelon she would go back to normal, but that doesn't seem to be the case as she's been back on it for a couple of weeks now. I know everybody can react differently to various different pills but was wondering what the timescales might possibly be before she might return to normal - assuming it's hormone related?

With me, I started feeling a little better after a couple of weeks and back to my normal self at about a month. Like you said, everyone is different.

It may be, as you mentioned, one of those things you just have to chalk up to experience and move on.
