Birth control help! I have no idea what to do..

Hello, I need opinions/help on my birth control situation. I'm currently taking the depo shot but it's making me feel crazy/depressed and gaining tons of weight. I've been on ortho cyclen & ortho tri cyclen lo both of those pills gave me crazy headaches. I was on the nuvaring for a while and that method gave me cystic acne! Ortho cept makes me crazy emotional & safyral makes my hair fall out. I've never had a child so I can't have an IUD & the implant has the same hormones as the nuvaring so I'll get cystic acne again. I'm just about ready to give up on birth control all together.

    Please help!
    Thank you.

Just because you have not had a child does NOT mean you can't get an IUD. Many women who've never had children get an IUD and there is actually a non-hormonal IUD called Paragard that is made of copper you can get since you can't take anything hormonal. I've considered getting it myself, and I've never had a child, but an IUD is more for long-term use (in my opinion) and I plan to try have children in the next year or two, but if I were 20 again, I'd consider it because paragard lasts for 10-12 years and has the same effectiveness as hormonal birth control.

Thats what I thought too! My doctor told me I can't get the IUD though because I haven't had children. It causes women without children bad cramps and bad side effects. At least that's what he told me idk

Some doctors offices will and some won't. I would search for one that does. I know planned parenthood (if you have that by you) will do it.

I have Paragard and I love it. I have not given birth however I was pregnant. I highly recommend it, it can be uncomfortable and I suggest using Midol extended relief to help with the cramping. I am losing weight. The only thing that I have is breakouts. Too much copper in your system can cause you to breakout more, but this can be helped by zinc.
