birth control and sex questions
Okay so I have been on microgestin FE 1/20 for 2 weeks now. I actually started taking it on a random Sunday so first thing I wanted to know would it still protect me even though I didn’t start it before my period? My next question is me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex last night and he came inside twice. Do I have a chance of getting pregnant I already know it’s not a 100% affective but because I didn’t take my BC the appropriate time and I’ve only been on it for two weeks would that be a problem? -
Yes. The pill requires one whole month before its effective. Plus if you haven't been taking it appropriately, its not effective. It's the same as having sex without any contraception. If you are concerned about pregnancy, I would recommend you take plan B.Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose - Kris Kristofferson and Fred Foster (sung by Janis Joplin) -
Not necessarily. You can ovulate while on your period. If your body has already released an egg, the pill will not prevent fertilization. That is why when starting the pill or if you miss a day, you need to used backup for one monthFreedom is just another word for nothing left to lose - Kris Kristofferson and Fred Foster (sung by Janis Joplin)Comment
