Hi, I didn't pay attention to how old this thread is but I just registered on this site because after reading what you ladies had to say, I finally feel a little comforted. I too am type 2 diabetic. I have a problem with facial, neck, nipple, back, and stomach hair. Thank you for posting your response yorkielass, I did not know that losing weight would help with the hair problem. My doctor told me if I lost my excess 30 pounds I would start to see my period more often. I only get it roughly 4 times a year. Along with no period, excessive hair growth and overall moodiness, I have felt very depressed because I do not feel like I can be the beautiful wife my husband wants. It is nice to see that there are ladies out there who have the same problem. Anyone of the diabetics out there have problems with yeast infections as well?
I am 22 years old and do not feel like it. I feel like I am at least twice my age because of all the problems I have.
As a type two diabetic yorkielass, are you unable to bear children? My doctor told me that I need to lose my 30 pounds to get a period and become fertile.
Hope to hear from you ladies soon.

        Hi Violet81,
I know what you mean, I myself feel completely unfeminine and it is rough on my marriage. My husband wonders why I do not want to have sex anymore. I tell him "I don't feel sexy". Then he wants to know why I don't feel sexy. Instead of telling him that I grow hair in all the places a female shouldn't, I tell him about my overweight, bloated body image. Or I end up just rolling over and telling him I am tired. I don't know how to explain to him what my real issue is. I am too embarrassed.

KMas, your husband is the one person you should fully trust. He loves you and thinks you're beautiful, more beautiful than you think you are. Just tell him.

There is some pain but nothing you can't handle. What ever you do DON"T SHAVE!!
I have done the same thing. I had electrolysis most of my life which was ok, I have PCOS, and have hair loss on my head. it grows more on my face!!. I have now had laser on the nhs, but it has got worse, now it is too much hair to have electrolysis, it is all over my neck. Of course I would never shave, but what about waxing? also IPL is this a different type of laser treatment. The best thing that worked was eostrogen tablets, but I started getting severe headaches, and had to stop. Let me know what you think. thank you

              Hiya kmaslowski87
Since posting on some of the earlier threads i have now been told i do have pcos.I'm type two diabetic. To have the cysts removed i have to loose weight to have the operation.Orlistat helped me loose weight but it can make you run to the loo if you eat fat.My mother died last year and i was low and put weight back on.I have had fibroid problems in the past, heavy periods and them removed and period a lot lighter.I cant have children.I would like to hear from any of you ladies who have similar problems as me.My hair used to be lovely and thick when i was younger and now its gone very fine.

The more common hair removal methods include inexpensive options such as shaving and depilatory creams. Depilatory creams are another inexpensive and temporary way to remove facial hair, although not the best alternative.

                  hi, KM. . .
be honest with your man. by not telling him what the problem is, you are depriving yourself and him of the intimacy you deserve. he may be far more understanding than you expect. don't do this to yourself. as upsetting as unwanted hair is for you, it could very well be a non-issue to him. one more thing to be concerned about is that he may think you're putting him off because you're no longer attracted to him. speak up and get back into the game, girl. don't let silence and pride destroy your relationship. good luck!

Hi Ladies...It is so great to meet you all as I am a newbie here after sneaking a peek or two for the last little while ! You amaze me with your wit and your strength. I too, am going through the facial hair issue. Am 56, post-menopausal and am waiting to have blood tests done for excess testosterone. I have the peach fuzz but as some on here it is all over my face and really able to see in the light. I have ordered the Avon facial hair remover as I was told it was a good one but I am scared to try anything as what if it gets worse. I know that I am paranoid also as I look in a magnifying mirror 15x daily with my reading glasses to check if it has suddenly grown anymore. I am not unattractive but this really gets me down and I don't know what to do either. Unfortunately my Dr. thinks it is not bad but I figure everyone is staring at me so I don't like to get close to many folks except my fella who has never said anything about it. I know we need to be strong and I know there are worse issues to deal with but this is just toooooo much some days ! Take care ladies and thank you for this GREAT forum !!

*jumps on the Hairy Face Wagon!*

Mhm, me too =\ I have like, 1cm long peach fuzz that's extremely noticeable against my black head-hair and I have sideburns, which I religiously pluck out (ouch!) ..

One day, when I graduate uni, I'm going to be electrolised !

It's all smiles just now because there's girls out there who feel my pain, but it actually really depresses me.
