Male waxing beauticians
Hi guys, I really need to know your thoughts / experiences on this one. I just moved to a new town and really needed to get a bikini wax today and walked into a nails an spa salon and the man said he could take me. His wife was there so I assumed she'd be the one to do it, but she left the salon and he did it! I didn't know what to do or say and was very embarrassed. The Brazilian was really good actually and when he commented on how red I was I said that I had never had a male waxer before and he replied saying that in America, where he trained for 2 years, it's pretty standard. He also said that I should remove my underwear completely which I have never experienced before (but that might be normal?) Is this very strange? He is the only one in the whole shop I think and was very good at it which makes me think it is okay? Please help! -
Myself, no way would I have let him do this to me. In America it is NOT the normal. And further, to be alone in the salon, removing your underwear is putting yourself at great risk. Not only you, but he is allowing himself to be in the position of someone crying rape and assault. I wouldn't go back there again if you paid me.That which we forget may as well never really happened. -
I've been in your shoes before. I'm an outgoing person so I didn't have THAT much of a problem with it, although I did feel a bit embarrassed at first. If anything happens, but I'm sure it shouldn't if the saloon has a good name in the town/area, you could charge him and get him into court - you're very likely to win.Comment
