We're mammals. We all have hair all over. It's just a matter of how long and thick it grows. One of the most beautiful, feminine women I've ever seen (or been with) had a weird, thick, silver whisker that grew out of her nose. It amazed me because it looked more like something that belonged on one of the cats I had at that point than a human.
On the flip side, one of the things I recently told my wife that made her feel a lot better is that men have little insecurities about masculinity too. My little cousin recently told me he was doing tons of push-ups daily because his chest is flabby and unmasculine. He's a manly guy, though. In my opinion he's a handsome man. I confided in her that I have a similar feeling about my chest. It's muscular, but I have big nipples - that's a feminine trait. I had never shared that with her.
No one is the perfect picture of feminine or masculine beauty. We all have flaws."Those sowing seed with tears
Will reap with a joyful shout." - Psalm 126Comment

I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.
...
Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

Gah, the dreaded chin hairs! I have a female friend who is a comedienne and she had a really good skit about that and I didn't realize I had them, too...it was like TADA! one day I woke up and had them. They're so irritating. My body hair is black and coarse so it's not like I can really get away with them since they're pretty obvious against my skin tone, even though I'm not fair-skinned at all.
I mostly pluck them with a tweezer but the hair almost never grows back lighter or thinner (contrary to how it often works on other parts of the body). I also strangely have "white" chin hairs but when I run my fingers across my chin, they're super hard and thick so I can feel them easily. When I pluck them, the other half is black. It's insane.
I've tried waxing and it's good for catching the lighter baby chin hairs that I can't always pluck myself but I never have time to do waxing to keep up with it. So I use tweezers for real time plucking BUT when I get mad I'll just shave it in the shower.
Not sure I want to do electrolysis, mainly because I don't have a high threshold for pain. I can't remember if the electrolysis method is ideal for darker skin? So many hair removal methods/devices are only made for lighter skin tones and often say in the instructions or commercials that it's not ideal for darker skin. That's extremely frustrating.Comment
