Hah! Some of mine are wiry too... a couple near my right temple are straight-up growing out like PUBES. They defy gravity. I'm pretty sure they're doing it on purpose.

I'm trying to "will" myself to grow silver hair because I love the way it looks. I only do bright red or pink lowlights beneath my natural color so I get the flair of color without disturbing my greys too much.

But watching the way it's growing in, and seeing how my mom's looks... I'm pretty sure it's going to take a long time. One of my aunts has hair that's nearly snow-white (my dream!) but my mom's hair looks more like silver highlights that have just gotten heavier over the years. I'm thinking I'll probably follow that same path. Which isn't terrible... it's kinda like my hair is decorated with tinsel.

Except for those stupid temple pubes.

      "temple pubes"...that's hilarious.

I don't think that I'll ever be ready to accept the whole grey hair thing. I have a single patch at the top center of my head and if I were a black haired girl, it would be lovely, like Stacy London or some other classy looks I've seen worn by celebrities. Mine, though, is anything but classy looking. I am a dark blonde naturally, and I get highlights regularly to brighten me up and then she covers that grey for me. I part in the center while the grey is covered, and then as it grows out, I part on the side to help hide it. lol
Maybe some day. For now, no. I just can't. I admire those that can, but I'm not ready.

I love gray hair!! For both men and women. I honestly can't wait to go gray but based on when my mom's hair went gray it won't be for a while. I think there's something really classy/chic about gray hair. Maybe it's because you associate it with being older but it's a very elegant look to me. Seeing a young person with gray hair is like seeing someone with really gorgeous red hair. It's beautiful because it's unique!

Love grey hair on men and women! Some of the most beautiful women I've ever seen have the salt and pepper, it's so striking and someone mentioned it being really nice paired with long hair and I agree. Whenever I see a woman sporting grey/salt and pepper hair I HAVE to approach them and tell them how beautiful they are.

Silver foxes...well, yes, please and thank you! And that's not just in regards to age, of course. A man of any age that gets some greys is always super sexy to me. I love it.

I've got greys growing in for sure, they're a bit wiry but are starting to come up a bit more uniformly, especially at the top of my head but you can't tell unless I part my hair a certain way but I don't go out of my way to hide it. Actually I've got a little posse of greys that have grown into my long side bangs so they cascade down when I wear my hair down and curled. I like it personally. I can't wait to have more grow in because I plan on looking like Storm from X-Men, haha. Seriously, I can wait to sport salt and pepper at least before going straight silver/grey.

I know some women who have gone to salons and dyed it simply to be more uniform if their greys weren't even enough to be able to pull it off naturally, which I understand.

But yeah, I'm in love with grey!

And thanks for adding "temple pubes" to my vocabulary, Alison H. LMAO. I'm actually a "bare Barbie" so I don't have to worry about that! Haha.

I have a full head of hair at 62, with white hairs mostly visible at my temples (I have reddish brown hair). I use hair clippers to shape and limit the amount of white hair visible. Fortunately, battery operated hair clippers are cheap if you look around. Mine were in the $10 to $20 range. Since Covid-19, I have taken to cutting my own hair in a military style cut (I like my hair short). I have my wife finish up the back of the hair and neck to make sure it is all trimmed and has an even hair line. In Cambodia, a haircut only costs $1.50, but I often have trouble getting them to cut it as short as I like it.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Hah! You're welcome — I do what I can. LOL! (I haven't noticed any actual pube-pubes turning grey... YET. But the rest of what isn't shaven stays super short, so I might just not be noticing any. I'll have to take a look the next time I do landscaping, if I'm brave enough to want to know for sure... maybe that's one mystery that should stay a mystery for now.)

I can SO relate to wanting to look like Storm from X-Men; it is a legitimate dream. Or Khaleesi from GoT. Just flowing silver-white hair. I have the start of what I like to call a "streak" starting on my right side — it's like 20 hairs but they're pretty close together. I want a stripe! A solid silver-white stripe.

There is something to be said for silver foxes, I agree with you on that... I've always preferred older men in general, but there is something really sexy about grey (or even white) hair on a man. But only when they're not acting old, if that makes sense? Like youthful/fun, but silver or salt and pepper hair. That is freaking hot.

I've dyed my hair for several years and (for several reasons, including cost and time) I decided to let my silver and gray grow out starting this summer. Right now I'm in the multi-color stage which doesn't look great, but it's kind of nice not worrying about dying my hair. Though I sometimes do a double-take in the mirror because I'm not used to what I look like with my roots showing.

Once it's fully grown out (I have very short hair so that won't take long), then I'll decide if I like it or if I want to go back to dying my hair again.

Right now, I feel like it may look less cute and silver foxy and more, "She needs to do something with her hair!" but we'll see.
