    Okay.. WEIRD!

I'm 22 years old, and my period has been regular since I was 15. I've come to learn what to expect after being sexually active, and I've learned how my body reacts when I haven't been sexually active for a while and then suddenly active again.

Now here's my question. I was 2 days late for my period and along with a mild amount of blood [which looks more like a small clot] there's this brown discharge stuff that looks really... weird.

I took an in-home pregnancy test on Sunday. The results came back negative. Also, we're assuming my boyfriend is steril because he had to undergo chemo at the age of 15 for a brain tumor. He was told he couldn't have kids, but I had people who had chemo done tell me they were still able to have kids.

So any one have any clue as to what the discharge stuff is? I say it's weird because even after a pause in sexual activity, and then a sudden start, I've never experianced this before. Also, I'm always heavy the day of, and the day after my period, and I always have cramps 2 days before I start.

    Help?

    Thanks in advance.

Well, first, if you don't want kids at the moment I would suggest using protection just in case....and to avoid the stress of wondering every time something is a little different.

I've have a regular period, very regular for almost 20 years. Then out of the blue this last year, it's been all over the place. A week late, 10 days late, then normal again. Short periods for a few days, heavy for 6 or 7 days. Just all wacky.

Our bodies are extremely sensitive to everything around us and everything we do. My period was a week and a half late when I went on vacation because it synced up with my friend I was with! Stress makes it worse, that's why I suggest using protection (among other reasons).

I would suggest taking another home test in a week or so just to be sure and from now on keep track of your cycle. Other than that, just know that it's going to change up from time to time and that's normal.

Oh trust me, I know all about whacky periods. And truth be told, I'm not worried about getting pregnant. I just wanted to know what the brown stuff was. My period's regular now. Heavy and painful >.< but the brown stuff was just weird for me. It kinda looked like dead skin to be honest.

Is it possible my body just flushed out some dead cells or something?
