    A clue?

My 30-year-old daughter has had this problem for 8 months and it's been driving her nuts, but not enough to get her to go to a doctor. I finally convinced her to pay a visit to the local ER last weekend after she hadn't had any real sleep in 36 hours. After she described the symptoms, the first question the doctor asked was "Have you ever been diagnosed with PCOS?" (she does have PCOS). He'd apparently encountered this a number of other times in PCOS patients. No explanation of WHY this happens, but he gave her a prescription for Neurontin, which has helped just a little, and referred her to a neurologist, who will see her in a couple of weeks. FYI, she is NOT taking medication for the PCOS, after having a bad experience with the first batch of pills her gynecologist had prescribed.

Well, add me to the list of women. Day three for me. 46 years old. Finishing month 3 on Femhrt. Early menopause. 1 17 YO child. Haven't had sex in a while so it is not related there in my case. In fact, I wondered if it would subside if I do. Based on what I have read, it probably wont. I am not having the symptoms constantly. They do feel like the cell phone or like a weak electric vibration that lasts about 2 seconds and recurs about every 8 seconds. Almost seems to be related to a slow pulse. It is as if I feel my pulse in the labial region with buzzing but it lasts about 5-7 rounds then tends to stop. I noticed it most often after going to the bathroom and urinating. I have been using a crappy toilet paper for the past week and will be going back to my good stuff tomorrow. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but it the only change I noticed--oh and some pretty good stress at work and even some heart palps due to the stress. So maybe there is a stress component. But seems like a weird reaction to stress. I was walking through Sam's today doing some shopping when it came out of nowhere. I stopped walking to be sure it was really happening. It does not hurt but the cell phone analogy is pretty accurate. Dont' guess I will go to the doctor since it seems no one has even heard of this other than those of us who have had the sensation. I managed to live 46 years without it and then it appears out of nowhere! I have had some neck, upper back pain and tension for months but no lower back pain. Could it be related in some way to hormonal changes? Mine have really changed quite a bit this year as I have monitored through blood tests. My female hormones have thrown me into menopause but doc gave me a script to deal with hotflashes and night sweats which works. Ladies, get your gynecologists to read this and respond!
The tag above says "Where women gather, share, and learn. The first two are accurate but would someone come along and enlighten us so we can learn why this is happening!!??

Just a shot in the dark but it could be utural muscle contractions as I felt something similar after the birth of my children. Aparently they happen all the time, so my dr told me, and you can feel them more at certain times. See over time if there is a pattern.

          Finally free of vibrating

After dealing with this for 2 and 1/2 months. It finally went away!!! I didn't take anything. I laid in bed one night and asked God, "What ever this is lord please take it away." I'm not sure when it dissappeard because I completely forgot about it. Then about a week later it hit me that I wasn't "vibrating" any more.

I am now back to having a normal life!!

So for those of you who know the Word of the Lord, please pray and if you don't, ask someone to pray for you.

            same problem

it has nothing to do with metopause. im 16 years old and have had this problem since i was 15. i get werid twitchs and my feet also vibrate mostly only on the left side... i dont know if any of you have that problem as well. vitamin b seems to calm it down a little, but wont get rid of it. i went to the doctor and he seemed to think it was from masterbation. but im not so sure of this. hope this helped good luck to you all. i know how annoying it can be.

I just experienced the vibrating for the first time this morning, after urinating. I almost freaked out into a panic attack. I am 44, no kids, not in menopause. I do have fibroids.
After reading some of the posts, I am inclinedto think it is nerve/chiro related. I need an adjustment, the vibrations are on the right side, which is the side I've had some back muscle spasms.

                vibrations

Good to see that I'm not crazy. I started experiencing this vibration a week ago. I too thought immeaditely of a cell phone. I have been under some stress I guess, but I have noticed that it also happens when I change my body position. It has become more faint over the week and It never wakes me up at night. I hate to say it but it seems like I'm getting used to it. I am going to the doctor soon to have it checked out. I just hate when they say stress for all of the things they don't have answers for. I did have the leep procedure done this year for the hpv virus and some abnormal precancerous cells in my cervix. I was wondering if the electricity from the procedure was sending me some volts now. probably not the case. I have two children and am 29 years old. I do a lot of heavy lifting but I've never experienced back pain. I hate explaining it because I sound like I'm crazy.

                  not so good vibrations

Ok this is the second time this is happening to me. The first time it went away in a few days and now its back again. My doctor thinks its a nerve thing to and wants to send me to a neurologist. Hello can you imagine that phone call? Im 34, slightly overweight and have had my tubes tied for 10+ years. Im a nurse so part of me wonders if its from being on my feet all day. Has anyone gotten any answers on this yet?
