Honestly I would stop putting so much stuff on it and stop all the antibiotics, let the vaginal areas balance out you have put so much medication and done so much to the cervix etc.. I would be irritated too. Have you tried probiotics for the vaginal, I use to have this irritation that went on for month after month and it wasn't yeast or anything on my pelvic test finally, my cousin who is a doctor took me in for a exam and told me the irritation is a imbalance. I used probiotics for the vaginal and it was gone, just a vaginal imbalance the whole time. Now I keep up with my probiotics and irritation free.
Use both hopeful it'll help.Comment

Any more updates?
I was reading this thread today empathizing with each of you. I can feel your pain, literally, and am hoping that you all have found some relief by now. I have been doing tons of research again (I had given up for a while) and have been amazed how many women are dealing with all of these same symptoms with no relief. I have posted on a few other boards here and in forums elsewhere. I think that even if we don't have answers for each other, it is at least comforting to know you are not alone! In case anyone is still checking this thread or happens to come here in the future, these are my symptoms and previous dealings with the issues...
-I had some burning and discharge that felt similar to a bacterial infection. Treated with Flagyl for a week. (miserable on thee meds but were told they would work if I could deal with the side effects)
-Feeling somewhat better, then had my period. After that, still some discomfort, minor itching. Told it was yeast and treated with 2 rounds of the OTC 3 night yeast meds.
-Still some irritation, but doctor dismissed as anything serious. Tested for STDs to be safe. All negative. Changed soaps, dertergents, etc.
-Ok for a week or two. Then came back full force- redness on labia and vaginal opening, perineum and anal irritation, burning discharge (or at least burning that seemed to be worse when a clear/slightly yellowish discharge was present). Given a dose of oral Diflucan.
-Still miserable. Saw yet another doctor. Said she saw no Bacteria or yeast, but white blood cells that suggested infection. Thought maybe strep B. Tested again for STDs. Again negative. Given Cleocin suppositories for 3 days to treat Strep. Strep culture came back negative. Given a steroid/fungal cream to use topically to help the inflammation. Seemed to make the skin more red and irritated.
-On to my current doctor. Luckily saw her when inflammation was at its worst so she believed I had an issue. Offered an alternative treatment since all the other meds were no help. Treating me with "Gentian Violet" solution once a week internally and externally. It has been three weeks and little to no relief.
-I have also since taken an HIV and herpes test to rule those things out and all were negative.
So, now here I sit wondering if/when this will ever go away! We all deal with issues on a daily basis and I am accustomed to my share of aches and pains. (I am 31 years old) But I have to say that this is by far anything worse than anything I have endured in my 31 years. It is not something easily talked about with peers or family and it leaves you feeling alone, especially when doctors can't help. So if you have any insight or just can relate, please let me know!Comment

I take herbs now and do not put things in my vagina like i use too it makes the balance bad, I no longer take antibiotics anymore either after a dose of antibiotics cipro i ended up getting gastritis and chronic burning now in my upper left rib so I cannot take all these drugs anymore it does nothing but ruin your stomach. I do not need ulcers so I went from a vaginal issue to a stomach issue.. and it could be years before this gastriits ever heal if it ever heals, i can barely eat anymore. You want to take all the drugs you will eventual tear up the lining of your stomach. I think sometimes its better to deal and cope (if it were a infection the antibotic would of got it but its probably not an infection and more so either a condition you have or related to hormones.. or a bad balance in the vagina) than to take all these things and get something else. Gastritis and ulcers are very painful, and antibiotics are a leading cause. Wishing you the best!Last edited by CVSTINKS; 02-10-2011, 12:20 PM.Comment

I HAVE HAD THIS BURNING ITCH IRRITATION FOR 1.5 year.........IT IS Vulvodynia is a painful chronic vulvar disease with enormous discomfort and pain. Complaints range from burning, stinging, swelling, itching, irritation and rawness of the female genitalia however Vulvodynia pain is highly individualized. The condition varies in persistence and location. Pain may be constant or intermittent, localized or diffuse. In many cases of Vulvodynia, pain occurs spontaneously.
Upon examination, the vulvar tissue may appear inflamed and swollen or it may look perfectly normal. It is common for a woman to consult up to 12 doctors before obtaining an accurate diagnosis. Currently there is no cure for Vulvodynia. Treatments are only directed toward symptom relief. They include drug therapies such as tricyclic antidepressants or anticonvulsants, nerve blocks, interferon, biofeedback, and diet modification. While Vulvodynia, was first described as a syndrome at the end of the last century more than a hundred years have passed and the cause of the disorder remains undiscovered,,your doctor can help if you ask for tricyclic meds a small dosage .25..... finally after after 1.5 years i feel some what normal ..it has only been 2 weeks... but the only inprovent after trying everything !!!!! under the sun..trust me ladies this is what you have,,I DONT HAVE PAIN just irritation itch and burn...but there are 3 differant kindsComment
