get off the depo
im NOT TRYING TO BE rude honey but all I can say is get off the depo now and instead go on birth control pills. The depo has really screwed up my system and i havent had a depo shot in over a year after coming off it it took me 7 months before I got my period back during the 7th month it was normal, but yet it hasnt been on time all sometimes a week late and so on which makes it hard to tell when i am ovulation when ttc. It messed up my system really bad, and u can get tumors on ur ovaries from it. A friend of mine was on it and she only took it once or twice and when she went off it a while later when she tried to concieve her first kid was a miscarriage. Me I wish my periods would come when they r due instead of causing bad cramps and comming a day or 2 later each month. Its annoying and when I had it yes I also had symptoms like u. My problem was i was bleeding like u. I highly doubt ur pregnant hun but yet it is possible cuz its not 100 percent effective. its only 99.9 percent effective. Also after i had my period constantly after a while I went to where I didnt have a period all for the year or 2 years if not longer when I was on it. Thats why now when Im trying to concieve its very difficult. Im 22 and seriously ill admit im jealous of my sisters who both have kids but they r in there late 20s. It can cause many problems down the line for u including blood clots, systs tumors and other things hun. If u get a chance please look it up online before u take any more. I wish I wouldve never went on it. I wish when I first went on it i wouldve new everything but i didnt i was left in the dark for the most part and had to find out for myself. I wish u luck if u continue to stay on it...but i think if it were me Id rather take a simple pillhi. i am on the depo-vera birth control and a few months before the shot to now i started having brownish discharge like the night before my period. im worried that i might have an infection or a tumor or something. I have also had pain during sex that i read might be a yeast infection but i dont know. Im also concerned that i may be pregnant because on my third month of being on depo-vera i had my period for the first time since i had been on the shot and then had it again on the same month. i hope having two periods on the DV shot isent a sign of pregnacy. im going to the doctor in a few days and hopefully i can get these questions answered.Comment

Hello!
Ive been having the same thing hapening its really fustrating. We have been trying to concieve. Came off the pill 8 months ago, and nothing happening.
xactly 2 to 3 days before my period starts i get a brown discharge starts off light and gets heavier until i start bleeding, this has been happening every month when my priod is due.
Ive been to the doctors twice and both times no one has really explained this to me, the first doctor said it was probably old blood and the second time just said it sounds like normal, but doesnt seem normal to me, never had this happen before i came off the pill. I was doing ovulation kits at first and no ovulation, think these would just stress me more. Can anyone shed any light on my situation also. ThanksComment

Hello Ladies,
I had a similar problem after my tubal pregnancy. My ob/gyn explained to me that it was normal for women to experience brown discharge sometimes. The body is trying to flush out the old blood or the lining that was not shedded in the earlier cycle.
I was on b/c pills for 1 cycle and as I am approaching to start my cycle in a day or two, i am experiencing brown discharge lightly.
I found this link which explains in detail about brown discharge and when should you be concerned about it and contact your Dr.
(EDIT)
Hope you find it helpful.
Have a blessed day and may all your prayers to mother a child come true.Last edited by CHANDLERS WISH; 02-16-2010, 06:10 PM. Reason: Links is advertising - resulting in banningComment

I've always had irregular periods until i turned 30 then all of a sudden they were regular without any help. I did start to notice probably around early summer that i had started bleeding for 2 weeks. the 1st week would be the brown blood then the 2nd week would start my regular period red blood. I really wasn't worried about it (i figured it was just my body acting up again) but i did mentioned it to my doctor when it was time for my annual exam that summer. I always get an ultrasound performed because i also get dermoid cysts. so when she did the ultrasound she noticed that the dermoid cyst that i had on my right ovary, had grew a lot and she noticed i had another cyst on my left ovary but it was small. she thought that may have been the reason for the 2 week period. I got both cysts removed in October 2009 and my periods were normal (back to just one week) November - January except that i did start to bleed for 2 days during ovulation which had never happened before. February 1, I started going back to the gym (my period was on at the time) and i noticed that my period had gone off a day early. I also started the brown bleeding again a week before my period. so im getting worried again that maybe another cyst has popped up.Comment
