    Late period - confused

So I'm a 16 year-old girl who has VERY regular periods, I can assure that my period will come exactly 28 days on the dot, that's how it's been for a long time.

So me and my boyfriend have been having sex for about 2 months now, about. Something that we've done on occasion while having sex is slipped it in without a condom, for no more than...10 seconds. Now, I'm not worried about this, after he's taken off the condom (we also do this after he's taken the condom off) he never has any pre-ejaculate, or in general when the condom IS on. As well, we've never had orgasms while having sex yet, so this isn't a factor of a broken condom or anything. We've done this before, (a little while without the condom) and I've started my period as usual.

Now this month has been a bit off. We did that stuff a few weeks ago and all was as normal, but after that, just lately I've had odd bodily symptoms. At one point in the month, I had really bad pains in my left abdomen, right below my rib cage, this lasted about on and off for two days and never came back. Another instance is last week, where I had some vaginal itching, this is something that happens every once in awhile too, since I was younger, if I washed and didn't wash well enough, or left soap, etc. etc. So I took the necessary procedures to stop the itching, but then it got a little worse, more like a burning when I peed. As of now, it's faded a way, maybe a little discomfort when this happens. An odd thing about this though, is one day, when it was really bad, I had a bit discharge when I peed, it was fleshy-like, brown-ish pink. I peed twice within the same hour and this discharge came out. Then it stopped and hasn't come back since then. As well, we've had sex maybe twice last week, and it's been slightly uncomfortable, the first time, some cramp like pains and then the second time, I just wasn't feeling it, there was just no desire, but they may simply be from the stress I've felt in the past while over this.

Now, I'm sitting here 4/5 days late for my period, I should've started August 15th, as my last period was July 19th, once again in that month we did stuff without the condom and were fine. I took a pregnancy test and it read negative but now it's August 19th and I'm 4/5 days late. What's going on? Could this be stress induced? (I have been very stressed over this)

Yes, stress can play a MAJOR role in delaying your cycle - in many cases it can be the SOLE factor, so please relax!

That burning while peeing - could have been a UTI infection. Try to go to the bathroom every time after sex to cleanse your urinary tract to avoid it in future.

Also I'm wondering if you're quite dry when you're having sex? Are you lubricated enough before you start?

I also need to ask - how do you know *for sure* that your boyfriend didn't have any pre-cum when you were having sex without the condom? It only takes one little sperm, and you know those buggers are invisible to the naked eye. Just *one tiny one*, from a tiny drop of pre-cum... and you're preggers.

Not to scare you or anything, but I gotta instill the importance of condoms at ALL times. Unless you're on the pill, of course.

To start, thank you SO MUCH for the answer. I've been on two boards with this question and you're the first person to answer. I appreciate that you took the time to read and answer my question VERY much c:

And yes, I was thinking that, the whole week beforehand I was very worried, I don't know why, particularly. Just mainly of these weird symptoms, that's what probably triggered the delay. Now I'm feeling relaxed though (:

And I've been wondering about that, it seems to have passed now, but I know for future.

And I am usually, just as of lately lubrication has been a bit harder, but we haven't had sex for a good two weeks.

And of course, of course. It's just that when he has the condom on no pre-cum forms, just ever. when we take the condom off, to do that sometimes, we always check before, and once again, the minimal time. But yeah, I know that, take into consideration that there is still question into the amount of sperm in pre-cum? That doesn't stop me from being cautious though. But I'm reassured by the negative pregnancy test.

And don't worry, I know for sure. I'm completely putting myself odd the "no-condom" thing for sure. It was in rare instances that that came up. But after this scare, I may just go on the pill.

As of right now, I'm simply trying to figure out why it hasn't come yet if I'm not pregnant, you think stress is the biggest factor?

      Thanks again (:

No worries - this board in general is quite good at replying to everyone!

Yep stress is a huge factor, it can also be due to any kind of lifestyle change in general... And age, of course. You've had regular periods for a while but this could just be one of those fluctuations that lots of teenagers experience.

So yeah, just relax and it'll likely come soon. Sometimes our periods have a habit of coming when we're least expecting it, grr....

          Thanks once again

So lifestyle changes could be the way I eat, sleep? Things like those?

Though, is it possible that my period won't come? or will simply come even like...10 days from now? I'm just wondering, I know periods can be a hassle and just come as it please

Aghhh, sorry for so many questions. I'm dealing with a lot of dryness down there lately too, could that mean something?
