    Itching ruining my life.

    Hi all,

I hope someone can help- im literally at my wits end!

Ive always suffered with Thrush but since October ive had this itch that i cannot shift. Ive had all the usual tests done at the doctors but they all came back normal, no Thrush, BV, or any STI. They have taken blood to test for diabetes.

It's ruining my life as it's pretty much constant- the over the counter thrush stuff isnt working- except Vagisil cream seems to help a lot this time around.
I got married 4 months ago & we have only had sex twice because It is so uncomfortable so it's affecting my marriage aswell.

I follow all the advice- no douching, perfumes, cotton pants only, cut down on sugar & bread, take a pro-biotic every day. All this used to work so im wondering if it may be an allergic reaction to something?

Last night my hubby & I tried to get it on, he used baby oil and with one finger, after a few mins it was burning and itching. We always used to use baby oil so im wondering if ive developed an allergy?

Sorry to ramble on but i need some help, for myself, hubby and the worst vagina in the whole world!!!!

What you're going through is INCREDIBLY frustrating. Baby oil is a no no down below. It might have been okay in the past, but if you're already irritated from whatever is causing it (possible allergic reaction) then that will set you on fire as will most anything.

Get yourself some hydrocortisone cream. Apply it (only externally) when dry and clean. It's fine to put it on the labia and around the vagina. Also, sprinkle some powder (unscented) in your underwear after applying it. See if that helps. If it helps but you have to continuously apply it after a couple days, then it's not truly working and shouldn't be used as a "band aid". For me, it worked using it once or twice a day for 2-3 days. I still have no idea what caused the allergic reaction, but it hasn't come back.

thanks- at this point i will try ANYTHING! As the tests came back negative and the Thrush treatments havent worked im figuring it to be some form of reaction instead of Thrush. Baby oil is now in the bin!
Im just sooooo frustrated that im a freak- I just cant get rid of it this time around. We tried using condoms just incase we were passing it back but that hasnt helped. The last time we had sex I had my period so we didnt need any lube and i had no reaction at all so it must be the baby oil aggrevating my alreasy sensitive bits??

Certainly. Those areas are sensitive anyway. But when they're irritated and you put another irritant on them = OUCH! Another thing to keep in mind is that baby oil can cause condom breakage (if that matters in your case).

Get to the pharmacy, or a Dollar Store or Walmart and get yourself some hydrocortisone cream and powder. Give if a shot and HOPEFULLY you'll get some relief.
