How do you handle your PMS?
I was wondering what people do to control their emotional self around their PMS time. I know people who get emotional and cry, get cranky, annoyed easily, etc... for no reason and realize, 'oh it's my period.' My emotional level gets really low to the point I think I'm depressed, but once I get my period, I'm back to normal. -
I take it out on the people around me, always makes me feel better, this is particularly satisfying if it's a man!
I don't get too many cramps or pains so I don't have that added tension, when I do I take a nice hot bath.
On PMS days I try extra hard to make myself feel good by taking time over my hair and make up, putting on my favourite clothes and perfume. I treat myself to silly treats all through the day, like a chocolate on my coffee break or 5 mins with a good book. Any little thing that makes me a tiny bit happier.
Then I try to take a deep breath and feel sorry for the people who seem intent on irritating me until I want to shout. I tell people I'm close to, too, so my boyfriend and best friend get a heads up when I'm feeling the PMS, a cuddle goes a long way
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.Comment

Lol, I should take it out on people who are mean to me. Use my feisty-ness to show them I'm capable of being fierce. Lucky! I get horrible cramps and sometimes feel like I'm actually sick and have to lie down. One time I took off of work because I thought I was sick... but I wasn't >_<
That sounds really nice. I'll try to treat myself more sweetly when that time of month comes around. Thank you, LittlePip! You handle yourself wellComment

All this pampering depends on me realising it's PMS before I kill my nearest and dearest, I must admit!Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.Comment
