This is a serious and genuine question. I'm a guy so I have no experience, obviously.

I've had some of my female tell me that the pain can be excruciating, and can confine you to bed from the pain. Is that true?

I never had cramps until I had my last child at age 35 and had my tubes tied. Everyone once in a while on the day I start my period I will crap and it isn't pretty. But some ibuprofen knock them out.

Now my 23 and 20 year old daughters they get cramps to where they are confined to the bed or sofa on a heating pad and pain pills. It isn't every month but it was bad especially when they were younger and in HS. They would come home from school the first day they would start because the pain was unbearable and cry. Their Dad didn't like seeing them like that at all.

Also whomever tells you (if you ever hear this) that labor pains are like menstural cramps they are a big liar. I only had labor pains with my first kid and I was 21 at the time and that stuff was painful and yes I asked for drugs.
