Missed period, fishy smell, burning while urinating

    Hi,
So, my cycle isn't exactly what one would call regular, but still it has never been more than 28 days (usually less, around 23 to 25 days). Today is the 29th day of my cycle, and I haven't had my period yet. First I tought I might be pregnant (which is the conclusion I always jump to even if I'm just one day late) because I did have sex with my boyfriend twice, however we used protection (condoms) and I believe it was about a week after I had ovulated. I did also take the plan B pill after our second intercourse.

Then the day before yesterday (27th day of my cycle) I started to have to go to the bathroom more frequently, and I now have a horrible burning feeling while urinating, but it goes away completly right after. Furthermore I noticed that there is a rather.. fishy smell down there (but no discharge of any sort). :/

I was wondering if anybody could just give me a rough idea of what my problem might be ? I realize that nobody can make a diagnosis and that I need to go see a doctor, however I'm starting to freak out and I have the feeling it makes it all just worse.

Sounds like a urinary tract infection to me. Either way, you will definitely need to see a doctor so they can prescribe you some antibiotics if that's what it is. A little UTI can turn into a raging beast if not treated, and truly make you feel terrible. Most urgent cares/walk in clinics will treat UTI's. They usually do a simple urine test.

Classic bacterial infection symptoms. Time to see the doctor.

Hi, thanks for your answers, that was really quick!

I do have a doctors apointment now, however both the smell as well as the burning have more or less gone away.. Maybe it cleared up by itself ? I will still see the doctor but at least I'm not in pain anymore so that's good.
I am still missing my period, do you know if either a UTI or any other bacterial infections can delay it /cause me to skipp one ?
And thanks again for your help.

Were you missing your period before plan B? Cause that will mess things up horribly sometimes. You can have periods early or not at all for awhile. There are often weird symptoms like you are getting your period but don't. It's not something you want to keep taking.

Yes I was missing it for a while when I took plan B so if that is the cause as to why I'm late even longer it seems reasonable. I read that it can delay your period for up to 5 days or make you get it 3-5 days early, so I am still within that 5 day delay window.
Could it possibly even cause me to skipp one entirely ?
