    Spaced Out Periods?

    I was wondering if it is normal to go many months without having your period.

    Sometimes...I can go about 4 or 5 months without having it. I don't want to go see a doctor about it because I'm a bit embarrassed..

    While every woman is different, it's not normal to not get a period for that long.. You really should see a doctor just to check that everything is okay.

      pcos causes women to not ovulate... and if you dont ovulate it can cause you to have a long cycle...

      I would consult your obgyn... there could be many underlying causes... being overweight and underweight... thyroid probs

      HTH!!

        sorry.. pcos is poly cystic ovarian syndrome... it causes cysts to grow on your ovaries and prevents you from ovulating

        (I have pcos btw... we've been ttc for 2 years)

          Well I did have problems with my thyroid but it went normal years ago. I could be having problems with it again..I'll have to go see about that.

          I'm a bit overweight so I'm trying to lose a few pounds. ^^ I'll do that first and see how it goes... I really don't like doctors. ^^;
