An older guy who has any class at all would never hit on a younger woman. You are going to have to make the first move. Or at least drop some hints and hope he catches on, but it sounds like you've already done that.

Once a guy hits 40 or so, he figures the young girls just see him as invisible, or at best as a trusted authority figure (i.e., teacher, boss at work, etc.). Most guys are just too decent to cross that line.

But older guys fantasize about younger women all the time, or just look at naked pictures of them on the 'net and reminisce about the old days.

So, yeah, you have a shot here. Definitely. But don't do it openly, and don't do anything that would become fodder for office gossip. Ask him out to lunch and make the next move in private.

No, not really. I'm married and count my blessings daily. When I'm feeling wistful I head over to Facebook and see if any more of my friends from the 80's have surfaced yet. Isn't everyone doing that these days?

The main thing I wonder about is if I'm in good enough shape that the young ones would even notice me. My wife says I am, but I do need to hit the gym a bit more, especially with the holiday eating season upon us...
