Hi Tammy,
I was raped last year when I was sixteen, so I know what it's like to have all of those thoughts running through your head. Sit back, relax, take a deep breath, and tackle this one step at a time. You're very fortunate that you have your parents to support you. They'll be a major emotional base for you for awhile now, so be glad that they're there for you.
Your first question is whether or not if your pregnant, what are you going to do. I am pro-life, but if you approve of abortion, I'm not sure if there's much I can say. But I will tell you this: No matter what, you don't have to raise the child if you are pregnant. But, that doesn't mean you have to take a life just because you were raped. If you're too young or unable to care for a child on your own, have the baby, but put it up for adoption. Everyone deserves a chance, right?
As a side note, it's unlikely that you'll be pregnant. When I was raped, it was during my ovulation cycle so I was very prone to getting pregnant, especially since I didn't have the morning after pill. Yet, I didn't get pregnant. I think you can rest easy if you took the pill. Whatever happens happens for a reason.
I really hope you didn't pick up any diseases. If it's of any comfort, there is treatment if you do contract a disease so you don't have to expect your life to be over by any means. You were raped. The times ahead are going to be tough emotionally. I think the most important thing for you is to focus on making your life clean of what happened. If you can focus on the positives, you'll be much more happy and have a fulfilling life. Don't dwell on what that foul man did to you. Focus on what you want for yourself.Comment
