    Air bubbles??

Hi, I'm new to this forum, and I'm a little embarassed asking about this, but...

I am 21 years old, and I sometimes masturbate. Sometimes I use the round handle of a brush to do this. However, the handle has a hole at the end (I don't even understand why that's there in the first place...).

Sometimes when I masturbate like that, it feels like there's air when I'm moving, but I don't hear anything coming out. Is that dangerous? Should I stop using that technique to masturbate?

I've heard about something called air...embolisms, I think was the word. Can I get one of those using the handle of a brush that has a hole in?

I'm a little afraid of this, so any help would be much appreciated...

Well I'd never heard of dying from air in the vagina ... so I googled it and apparently it's true, but EXTREMELY rare. And it has more to do with pregnancy than anything else.
Air gets pushed into the vagina during regular sex, so I can't imagine that masturbation wouldn't .... with or without holes in the masturbation apparatus.
My advice? Use your fingers. OR if you really like the way the brush handle feels, cover it with a condom. That will keep away any risk, even a minimal one, and make you feel better about loving on yourself.

Thank you, Little. That reassured me.

I normally wouldn't have thought of using a brush to do that kind of thing, but I'm horrible at using my fingers---I can never quite get there, ha ha...Laaaame...

I mean, I've felt the air bubble thing before, but it's never really bothered me, but recently I've been more worried about my health, so I'm always worrying about "Aah, that doesn't feel normal!? Am I gonna die!?"

Pretty immature for a 21-year-old, I guess. I think I'm just worried because I started using a different brush...

I learn something new here everyday.

Sweetie, go buy a dildo...assuming penises turn you on....its shaped like a penis and probably has a softer more skin like texture than a brush handle. Oh....and it doesn't have holes in it.

There's one problem with getting a dildo, OhThereYouAre...Well, more than one.

I live with (very nosy) parents when I am not at University. They like to paw through my stuff. If either of them found something like that...It would be less than pleasant, I assure you (they're super-conservative).

Also, there are no adult shops where I live--the closest being a forty-five minute drive away from my university, or a half-hour drive from my home. I also have no means of purchasing online.

I am also very nervous and embarrassed about the fact that I do masturbate. Because of how I was raised, I've always thought it was kind of a shameful thing to do. I guess I'm just one mess after another...

I don't know if it's related or not, but about five hours ago or so I got a pain on the inside of the thigh, near all the tendons between the vagina and the inside of the leg. It's sort of a stinging pain, but there's pain in my upper thigh in the front and in my calf too. And even earlier, around 1 or 2pm, I was getting cramps in my lower abdomen (but I was also eating a lot of crazy food like ravioli, then blueberries, then string cheese...).

Could I have just strained a ligament today? I mean, I would have been in trouble a while ago if I *did* have the aforementioned problem I originally posted, correct? Am I just worrying for no real reason?

I'm sorry, everyone, I guess I'm just a big mess today.

I think you're fine. Just don't be too rough with yourself and I'm sure the brush will be okay. Getting air in your vagina is very normal and nothing to worry about. Just relax and have fun!

Thank you, nightqueen. I really appreciate that. ^^

If I had some extra money, though, I would be inclined to purchase something proper for this sort of thing, but without a summer job, money is fairly tight. Oh well; maybe it's something to invest in a little further down the road.

When you do decide to get a toy of some sort. You don't have to get it on a adult on-line store only. Carol Wright and Amer(something) have them in their catalog. Makes it easier to shop on them, if you don't want a credit card to show that you are on one of those adult on-line websites. It's also a lot easier to hide on a credit card statement, if your parents see it. You can say you bought a hanging tomato plant or something...

                  Good Luck

I didn't know that you could order stuff like that from a catalog...!
I've never heard of that catalog before, though.

Thank you for that bit of advice!

Today's report: No real leg pain, but lower abdomen is cramped up. I'm a little confused; I had my period about three weeks ago, and it comes about every five weeks, not four.
