There is a world of difference between play rape and real rape - its like the difference between sports and war.
Rape fantasies are common for both men and women, as both agressors and victims. If both people enjoy the fantasy it can be fun. A lot of people enjoy being "forced" to do something - maybe because it removes responsibility?
Hard BDSM (spanking / whipping, etc) is also common. Again as long as both enjoy and no real damage is done, why not. Interestingly there are more people who want to "bottom" (be beaten) than "top".
Either game needs to have a safe-word. I've heard too many stories of mis-understandings leading to real problems.Comment

Steph, 'role playing rape' means having discussed it with your partner first and having explained the details. It's no different to rough sex, you just pretend you don't want it to make it exciting. You can set any kind of setting in your own home if you have it planned. Some pretend they are a couple who have an affair and have to rush it before their partner finds out etc. It's only a setting you plan when you want to do something out of the ordinary once in a while. To each their own.
A rape fantasy to me shows someone isn't wired right.
There's a basic mental level thing there I wouldn't want in a partner.
Same with Horrorcore rappers. If your fantasy to sing about is killing and mutilation, don't want you as a neighbor or dating my relatives.
Of course rape is something horrible, I don't have to explain that and I nearly was in such a situation once with a colleague. But when it's role playing between me and my man, whom I know how he feels about me and I also know that his views on rape are similar to mine, then I don't see it as something sick at all. It shows more that we're not afraid to experiment than we have mental issues. You should try it some time.
As for the rappers... Those who want to mutilate people don't write songs in their basement and release them. It's the quiet and overly kind people you should be more concerned about...Comment

Hrm - if I recall I've seen studies that conclude that women, in the aggregate, find the idea of being raped by a handsome stranger very appealing.
Just saying.

I recall seeing something about that OTYA and was quite surprised. Though I think that idea also accompanies something more like the romance novels where it's some dashing and dangerous Clark Gable type of man who enraptures and ravishes you and it's something you want. But, it's also just a seductive fantasy type of response. Personally I've no need for a "rape fantasy" though I do like it when my DH just "takes" me.

FARMVILLE, Va. —
Richard Alden Samuel McCroskey III rapped about the thrill of murder in
songs he posted on the Internet. Police believe the fantasy lyrics
became a gruesome reality in a small Virginia college town.
McCroskey, 20, was being held Sunday in the killings of four people who were found at a Longwood University professor's home near campus in Farmville,
which is about 50 miles west of Richmond. McCroskey, of Castro Valley,
Calif., faces charges of first-degree murder, robbery and grand larceny
of an automobile, said Farmville police Capt. Wade Stimpson.
The aspiring rapper in the underground horrorcore genre, which sets violent
lyrics to hip-hop beats, was arrested Saturday at a Richmond airport,
where authorities believe he was trying to catch a flight back to
California. Officers found McCroskey asleep in the baggage claim area.
A day earlier, authorities discovered the bodies in the home of Debra S.
Kelley, an associate professor of sociology and criminal justice
studies, school spokeswoman Gina Caldwell. Authorities have not
released the names of those killed or said how they died.
McCroskey recorded songs that spoke of death, murder and mutilation under the name Syko Sam. His MySpace Web page said he has only been rapping for a few months but has been a fan for years of the horrorcore genre.
"You're not the first, just to let you know. I've killed many people
and I kill them real slow. It's the best feeling, watching their last
breath. Stabbing and stabbing till there's nothing left," McCroskey
sings in "My Dark Side."
But the dumbest part about the story was at the end:
A friend who owns a small, independent record label that specializes in horrorcore confirmed the site and the songs were McCroskey's. Andres Shrim, who owns Serial Killin Records in New Mexico, said others shouldn't judge McCroskey by what they see on his Web site or hear in his music.Comment

"Alice Cooper (born Vincent Damon Furnier; February 4, 1948)[1] is an American rock singer, songwriter and musician whose career spans more than four decades. With a stage show that features guillotines, electric chairs, fake blood, boa constrictors and baby dolls, Cooper has drawn equally from horror movies, vaudeville, and garage rock to pioneer a grandly theatrical and violent brand of heavy metal that was designed to shock.
Alice Cooper is known for his social and witty persona offstage, The Rolling Stone Album Guide going so far as to refer to him as the world's most "beloved heavy metal entertainer".[5] He helped to shape the sound and look of heavy metal, and is seen as being the person who "first introduced horror imagery to rock'n'roll, and whose stagecraft and showmanship have permanently transformed the genre".[6] Away from music, Cooper is a film actor, a golfing celebrity, a restaurateur and, since 2004, a popular radio DJ with his classic rock show Nights with Alice Cooper.
His grandfather, Thurman Sylvester Furnier, was an apostle in The Church of Jesus Christ based in Monongahela, Pennsylvania. Vincent Furnier's father was an Elder in The Church of Jesus Christ."
